Didn't understand much of what was done or why (making individual pedals for the pedal box the way you did, massive plumbing for coolants etc) but was impressed with the build and glad I got to see it so thanks. Quick, light mini 1000, made me smile.

I’ve owned a couple of Minis too when I was a teen, the first Mini I bought was a Austin Mini unfortunately that Mini is no more and I was lucky to be alive. Then I bought another one and that I sold. I wouldn’t mind if I had a Mini again because you can do so much to them these days like getting 500 hp out of one.
I would put some sick aftermarket headlights on it but I see it's a classic prototype. But I would probably stick some modern 240z headlight assemblies within the headlights of the mini.

1 question I have, is this safe? I mean like fibreglass is perfect for track car but if it was crashed is this alot weaker than metal panels? Given it is kinda all a frame I suppose u could question if its possibly stronger? Would love someone who knows to educate me a little

Ok, so basically what we have, is an R1 enginned gokart, with a fibreglass shell (moulded from a real Mini) draped over the top. Not sure if I'm for that or against it, actually... It does simplify a lot of things. You can build the 'car' the way you want and then just drape the aesthetics over it like a coat of paint. Like one of those hospital gowns that opens down the back for your prostrate exam.... Now compare & contrast that to Project Binky, which is a whole different animal...

Not much Mini left, but, an engineering marvel none the less,.....my first car was a Mini, didn't have that awesome chassis this one does though ! :)

Really like the build, it's no longer a mini from what I can tell it's a cage with a mini shell. That doesn't mean I like it any less.
