Great video, thanks for all the "heads up's" on the possible pitfalls I may encounter. After watching every assembly video I could fine, there is no question that putting the legs in is #1. Seeing all the problems everyone had, I discovered the solution to putting them in easily. First, there is so much confusion on how to put the legs in, I'm not surprised everyone is having so much trouble. Although the instructions say to put the spring clips into the kettle bottom, do not do that. I have found that putting the spring clips into the LEGS first really works well. Take each spring clip and locate which hole it is supposed to be placed in (follow the instruction on how to orient the side legs) and take each clip with the "bent" end FIRST into the leg and let the button pop into the hole on all 3 legs. then begin to push each leg into ihe leg recepticle, there will be resistance (they put sn indent into the hole to restrict it on purpose, just look in the pipe) so just press the aluminum leg into the opening with a little pressure. It's made that way to hold it firmly in place (they should have mentioned that in the instructions, but they didn't mention anything just using pictures). Just push the leg in firmly and it will go in, be patient. Anyway, this took way too long, sorry, but I saw so many people having this problem, I had to say something. I just finished putting new new grill I received an hour ago, so I wanted to pass it along to everyone.THANK YOU ALL THAT POSTED THEIR EXPERIENCES DOING THIS ALREADY, IT MADE MY JOB SO MUCH EASIER, THANKS. Tom F.
I got one from my wife for Christmas, and I'm not good at assembly, but I found this a very easy product to put together, the instruction manual was perfect. Took me about 20 minutes.
Thank you for this. Mine was delivered today and I plan to assemble this weekend weather permitting outside on my deck. One very important thing you did was so simple: you used a table! So I will take my folding banquet table out to do this job.
Great video. I put mine together just from your video not instructions but instruction book is easy to follow. On the legs it was easy when I put spring clips in legs. I tried it both ways and it mis aligned doing what instructions say. Putting in legs was no problem just insert leg push button and push and do small twists. Put clips in leg not the way they say. Use a socket wrench with extension instead of that plastic wrench but dont over tighten everything. I have assembled a lot of stuff and this was easy. It's a good quality item . Use rubber mallet on wheel caps with other end on wood support real easy. Thanks for video!
One of the best instruction videos I've watched in a long time--very well done!! One frustrating thing about the grill assembly is the Weber handle that attaches to the lid--I thought for sure I had lost the nuts that attach the handle to the lid. Actually drove back to Home Depot to see how it was attached on their display model. I also opened a box on a new grill and it turns out that the nuts are already attached to the bolts on the handle (the nuts are not loose like all the other nuts that thread onto the other bolts). So you need to unthread the handle nuts first (they appear to be factory installed and I finally used my 7/16 socket wrench to get them off. Other than that this video made assembling my new grill a breeze. I would watch other videos by this guy--EXCELLENT!
Very helpful overall. Most important tip: use some grease or oil on the legs before trying to insert them into the tight cylinders (I used 3-in-1 oil). I also followed the printed instruction guide and inserted the front leg first, but either way seems fine. Took about an hour from box opening to clean up.
VERY good and informative video! I used the video to assemble mine I just bought. Thankfully I had little to no trouble with the leg assembly. I especially liked your calm demeanor and explanations of all the steps. You seem like the kind of person I wish I was neighbors with. I did take the time to watch from start to finish as after your help as a matter of respect. Very objective!
Great video, had to take it apart and reassembled it again after watching another video. I knew something was wrong when I had a bunch of extra parts laying around.
You will enjoy your Weber , use my 26 inch one all the time , only mistake I made was buying the 3 burner gas Weber first . I use it mostly to light the charcoal for my kettle grill now anyway enjoy the kettle , its a great product and will last a long time .
Thanks Jim. I just came home from my neighbor's tree trimming yard where I picked up a small load of little red oak pieces. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, then I can start thinking of using this new grill. Thanks for the feedback as a Weber owner. It helps me believe I made the right choice. -Dennis
I agree with you Weber can make the assembly easier. They should design in such that the wheals should not be hammered. It could damage the wheals and legs. Also legs would not go into the bottom part of the grill easily. The drawings of the instruction should be clearer. Thanks for the video.
Just curious: what kind of coffee do you drink in these videos? It looks much paler than the coffee I usually see. Actually it looks like the tea with lots of milk that I personally like to drink.
Hi Jonathan. It's Colombian Supremo coffee and I actually make it kind of strong. It's not a dark roast. That might account for the lighter color. -Dennis
Hi Jonathan. I just wanted to let you know I shot the first video with one of those flavor packets you sent me. It took me a long time to come up with a usable idea because I'm not familiar with these. The result was a flavorful soup. I used chicken, vegetables, and ramen noodles. The video might not be uploaded to TH-cam for a while because I have another one in the queue. For a first experiment it turned out well, and it was fun. Thanks again. -Dennis
Hi Jonathan. I uploaded that video this morning. It's currently unlisted, but you can watch it now with this link: th-cam.com/video/JpDKE9CO2mA/w-d-xo.html Hopefully I don't offend anyone. I can sometimes go a little too far with my sense of humor. -Dennis
I want to thank you SO much for this video. I am horrible at this kind of stuff and I have it built now!!! Thanks again!!!!! 🙏🙏
Great video. Thanks for the detail. Put it together this morning while watching your video. Took me about 45 minutes
Great Instructions, I put my Master Touch togther tomorrow after Church, I will have your video on! Thank you Sir.
Great video I enjoyed the details and very easy instructions.
