They just put The Ramen Girl on Hulu, and my heart nearly broke when I saw her face and heard her voice again. Hollywood people are not known to be a good and decent crowd, but Brittany Murphy had something so special about her.... we lost so much when we lost her. All by herself, she could make us believe in human goodness and decency again. I feel different inside every time I see her. We miss you, Brittany.
It's on Hulu? I never seen it. I'm gonna go watch it rn. I came here to just see Brittany and remember her. One of the many ppl who pass that I annually think about.
I had the honor of hanging out with Brittany Murphy, for a night and it was so fun. She was so sweet. She treated me like she knew me. I get to keep that memory forever. It was one hell of a night.
Aah, memories, New years Eve 1985-6, I'm a bouncer at the Hollywood Palace on Vine. I was living on Highland, roughly 4-6 blocks from Vine, all the other bouncers lived in the Valley. My boss Julio calls me at 7:30am, I just got to bed from the night before, close 4:30am, quick security check, Denny's on Sunset for breakfast. So my boss Julio needs me to open up The Palace at 11am for a sound check for that night's musical guest: Teena Marie, she sang "I need your loving", "lovergirl", and "out on a limb." I was spellbound, if you never heard out on a limb, listen to it. She saw me mouthing all the words to lovergirl, she orders me on stage, hands me a mic...me, from little Rhode Island singing with Teena Marie. One of my greatest, fondest memories.
Same! For me, it's become one of those extremely comforting movies that you watch when you're stuck in bed with illness or injury, or the sort of movie that you watch on a snowy evening in by yourself, paired with tea, comfort food and fairy lights.
I haven't had many hardship and haven't lived in another country but I absolutely loved this movie. I love quirky, obscure fantasy-driven spiritual movies.
One of my Favorite Movies EVER. I came to USA at 19 with no English and this always reminded my journey specially working in restaurants for a long time. Brittany Murphy changed my Life. She forever will be my first LoVE 💘
I just watched this movie. It was amazing, and all the actors did such a good job. When the guy told her she was his successor, I almost squealed. It was so cute.
Britt was an amazing actress gone wayyy too soon and such a shame how she died!! She was one of my favorite actresses and very sorely missed :( RIP my fellow Italian beauty..I know you are radiating that beautiful smile amongst the angels :)
This trailer practically tells the whole story in a nutshell. RIP Brittany - she was so talented and beautiful. Tragic to hear about her passing at a young age. There's no justice on this earth - can't explain why good people die young.
I was introduced to this movie by an old friend. I haven't seen this movie or my old friend in years. The difference between them is that I actually want to see this movie again!
I watched Uptown Girls and Googled Miss Brittany. Ramen Girl sounded familiar so I watched the preview. I have watched it is wonderful. We miss her movies but, movie insiders will tell you that there are movies that maybe were shelved. We really don't know if a film or films are sitting somewhere unreleased.
I miss Brittany so much. I loved her since the day I had a polaroid picture taken with her & she autographed it. That was 2006 & I will never forget the words she has given me & I will pass them on to everyone; Love & Light
I love brittany Murphy..i will miss her dearly....she was sucha happy person..so positive and always a smile on her face....she was a light for this world...we need more people like that....i will keep each of her movies.....bless you princess!
I watched this and I really loved it, I mean I even went to buy it. And then like a couple days later she died. Its still surprising that she is gone...she was a good actor!!
A surprisingly good film the missed the Target in the ending. Moments of goofy adorable Brittany Murphy. The story seems to have meaning left empty at the end. You're left with nothing but a bowl of soup "Not Ramen". If you watched Hachi A Dog's Tale or know anything of what a sensei is then you understand. She must find her Zen
well, i saw this movie two days ago, and i loved it. I think it's great because it tries to give a simple message and feeling, in a simple way, not becoming pretentious. Otherwise, i had this mixed "life is beautiful" feeling because of the movie itself, but also sadness for the death of this great actress Brittany Murphy, particulary thinking about how we are taking our "modern life style" today, i mean, so many legal drugs for making life passable, it's sad, but i try to get the positive side.
For some reason this reminded me of The Professional when she was all like "I will clean for you, I will clean the pots, the floors" except that Matilda wanted to do something else in The Professional. What's the name of the song at the end, by the way? Anyone know? R.I.P. Brittany Murphy.
"Some fantastical parts (such as with the cat figure)" I interpret that as her imagination, it is not something that really happened. Maybe both ways of looking at that are correct.
Sencillamente una de esas peliculas con las que cualquiera se puede identificar, divinamente dirigida y actuada por Britanny hay que verla para ser un poquito mas felices
Can anyone explain to me the scene at the end when she's standing on the shrine and her sensei gives her the red lantern? It seemed like it was symbolic or meant a lot but it wasn't clear to me.
omg i used to watch this movie when i was young but later on i couldn’t remember the name of the movie and i finally found it and i feel like crying lol
I LOVED this movie i'm soooooo upset she died she was a fantastic actress...i loved every thing in this movie from the back story to little tidbits of culture EVERYTHING!!!
Im a sucker for ramen. I will watch thos today and hope its good. I don't know why but im really fascinated by how japanese make their ramen, its like an art. You cannot rush it its requires technique and patience to get a perfect bowl of ramen. Its amazing ❤️
Well, I always wanna try Japanese style Ramen. I love Chinese Ramen, the traditional style ramen is art, I heard Japanese dropt the tech but add more content into their own Ramen, and the flavor is so variety through the whole country. I wish I can try every flavor of them.
So I just finished the movie and i really loved it. I enjoyed reading what the Japanese man was saying I laughed and it was a very enjoyed movie watch this cause it's just a relaxing movie
my friend said that he saw this movie and it made him wanna eat Ramen, so he cooked some, then his Grandpa looks at it and says "It needs More Spirit." XD

probably a movie that's only appreciated and understood by someone who's lived in another country and overcome hardships.
K. Asa Or maybe just people that appreciate hard work and persistence?
You are right!
Aaahh... I still can't believe Brittany's gone.
+K. Asa
Not so, my friend. I really saw some uplifting spirit in Brittany's performance.

More over who lives by believing if some one wants to be unique he has to learn from zero and takes time but it would be a wonderful journey
I miss her :(
me too:( :(

CYBER PUNK yes, 10 years ago.

A brilliant show showing the transferable energies that humans are capable of with their creation, we truly did create value with just dust and ashes.
