Imight use an old credit card fir the base and a 1S battery ir 2S wuth a voltage regulator because the thing is supposed to shut itself off at 3.5v and take a minute to turn back on .
The only thing I'm not sure about is if it needs a connection to a flight controller to ARM... If she knows, please let me know!

Hi Lee Great video and review of the walksnail mini 1s lite. I just don't know yet. I have thought about the module that goes on my googles, but I haven't flown it yet. Hopefully I'll be able to try it on a friend's googles first. Thanks again for the video and information.

would i need an adapter to connect this to a rc car? probably obvious but im about as novice as they get for rc fpv
So what's the difference here exactly? Walksnail Avatar mini 1s kit vs Wallksnail Avatar HD mini 1s lite kit. They are still selling the former for $20 more. If I'm not concerned with the absolute lightest weight, does the former have a better camera? It does seem to have a better antenna... Thanks.
Hi Lee, I just ordered this one to put in a Drift, inspired by your other video. Only I would like to put the VTX in the bottom rear compartment so I need to swap the mipi cable for a longer one. Is the mipi cable replaceable on this one? I heard in another review the connector is glued.

What do think about Walksnail Avatar 1S mini on airplanes and wings? Should be enough power from 5V BEC to fly few km using 350 mW & good antennas.

No, even the full sized units need capacitors to protect them from overvoltage in 6s builds... Happy flying

Not sure what you mean, adding time-codes can be really helpful. There are only 4 wires to an AVATAR - power and GND, then a TX and RX wire set for the OSD and telemetry..
@@Painless360 yeah all 4 of those wires combine into this little white pin connector. I didn't know if that connector has a name because I'm trying to find adapters for it so I don't have to solder it over and over for different cars
Would the VTX overheat if the drone/plane crashes far away and can't be turned off quickly?
They have a low power more when the FC is disarmed... Happy flying
@@Painless360 How long does it take before the overheat warning comes on in the goggles with the VTX that does not have the heatsink while sitting idle with no fan?

The guy that owns redcat owns the company that holds fatshark. Same owner but redcat focus on government type stuff. The buzz was that fatshark might have been a liability because it was so consumer focused. This let's redcat focus on their thing and fatshark focus on their thing while having the same owner. Seems like a shell game to me but what do I know.
I also suspect that they wanted to use Fatshark for military FPV contracts too but it never happened, hence the sale. Interesting that you have a similar opinion... Happy flying
can you project that on a monitor or tv instead of goggles? my brother has a flight simulator setup and it would be fun to sit in that with this.
Current goggles do have a HDMI out, maybe the new VRX option would be a good idea?
