      If you do 1000 watts every corner everytime then it's consistent. Sometimes we need higher consistency

    I am a certified Specialized Retul bike fitter I first met Sam at Specialized headquarters in 2008 he taught my product class learning sales techniques it was a great class. Back then he was doing downhill mtn bike stuff. in the words of Chubbs from Happy Gilmore "I am glad you gave that shit up and concentrated on golf" lol COngrats by the way! Andy must have done one hell of a fit on you.

    I think you mixed up intensity factor and variability index, intensity factor is NP/Threshold, variability index is NP/AP

    Crazy tight race race. Looked like it was very tough to move anywhere cuz of the speed. Love the little outtake at the very end.

    When I see these videos I regret that I didnt go to a cycling club at 18 y.o. Back thenI could do two hours of gymnastic and 20 k cycling back and forth. I went overseas and kinda never did a workout again. Im in a couch at 36 watching youtube and dreaming about cycling. :) Even couch to crit dreaming.

    Mikey H. Is legit.
    He's imo one of the few that could beat Legion if he had an equal caliber squad,which he does. But...The synchronization of Legion and having solid leadership is the main reason they're dominant.

    What a race the intensity is insane and that guy that crashed at the end didn’t surprise me the corners were impossible which is why pretty much nobody was passing more than one rider at a time

    They should fine you for crashing on the last lap. I think it would go a long way to rider safety. This was the year of crashes for sure.

      everyone is probably in the 25-28 range. I was on 26, IMO best weight/rolling resistance/traction balance for this type of course.

    idk. i think the near crash was Sam's fault for putting himself in a bad position and not definitively taking a wheel. The other guy was steady on a wheel......I'd be interested in hearing others......

    Great video as per usual. Crit racing in the US is comedy. Amateur events with teams of 8 billion riders. It's fundamentally broken. Obviously, the bigger team wins. Why on Earth don't the organizers drastically restrict the team numbers? It seems ridiculous overkill at an amateur level. Pro team beats solo soccer dad... heroic.

    Amateur nationals raced by professionals. Why would amateurs even spend their money traveling to a race like this other than to get the experience and say that they raced at Nats. They should consider rider safety and not put up all the metal barricades that create a fatal funnel in the event of a wreck.
