Just recently smelled this and their perfume Naki and I think you nail it in this review. I loved the first hours of both perfumes and thought they were really interesting and likeable. However quite synthetic indeed and they just lasted and lasted which became overwhelming. My recommendation to this brand would be to bring them out in EdP concentration which would make them less relentless and perhaps more affordable.

Had samples from this house really enjoyed a few but can’t remember the names.

I'm honestly counting the days until this woody amber trend evaporates....but realistically, I'm not holding my breath. 😮‍💨 Glad they don't usually scream off of my skin, but there's a point when enough is enough. And that includes my comments about them. 😂 Appreciate this gents.

Have you smelt Uncut gem? I can’t believe that FM released a fragrance that is so dominated by such an abnoxious ambrocenide. If they’re doing it, a ‘classy’ ‘luxury’ brand, what hope is there?! Please don’t hold your breath on this!

Would you humor me with a few examples of “woody ambers”? My collection is in good part ambers, and I suspect they contain some woods, but I’m not sure what constitutes a “woody amber.”

@@WaftsfromTheLoft You mentioned Nicolai's Caravanserail Intense and I do get a decent dose of ambrocenide in the mid and base (which Patricia admits to using), but nowhere near the amount that Laurent used in Pasha de Cartier parfum. It's actually one of the very few woody ambers that I can tolerate in tiny doses due to that boozy facet it has, but the overdose in the Cartier ruined it for me. In a sense, I think it's almost a matter of time before ordinary people become sensitive to the material enough to affect their buying decisions. And of course, incite social media outrage. 😄 Only then will we see change.

@@Sliceisnice850 Think oily, spicy rubbing alcohol. They're not ambers (benzoin, vanilla, labdanum) or woods but technically musks. Some obvious examples: Erba Pura, Instant Crush, BR540, Alahine, Red Tobacco, Oud for Greatness, Tygar, Sauvage Elixir, 1 Million Elixir, Legend Spirit, Mr. Burberry Indigo, Artisan Pure, L'eau d'Issey Sport, Chrome Sport just to name a tiny few. I've also found that 90%+ of clones that I own or have tried (and that includes Zara) use them for various reasons (stability, longevity and availability), but they're so prevalent in modern perfumery, that any bottle you pick up has about a 60%+ chance of having them in there, disclosed or not. Easy way to tell - they'll usually be the last thing detectable on your skin. If, by that time you smell what's listed as nutmeg, saffron, incense, pink pepper or vetiver, it's likely a woody amber. In the opening, they can also have a deep "burning" effect on the nose. Very useful stuff if kept at a low dose.

@@justaddlight Ah. Have tried few from that list, but I’ll keep a lookout for this profile as I sniff about. Thank you for taking the time to spell that out.

Wearing right now. Expected it to be a performance beast as its an extrait de parfum, definitely isn’t that. Smells like a powdery rose with a hint of oud, much reminds me of jo malones velvet rose & oud. Luckily im using a decant, would I buy..? Not at full price

How much of longevity do you get? I cant rlly smell it at all. Its weird after some time I get some whiffs but isnt strong by any means. Bit disappointing..

Found this fragrance sub-par (and the whole range to be honest)… meh
