Beautiful job on the Dodge , sleek lines , cool paint , and dog dish hubcaps make it a real winner. You are certainly one fine crafter of automobiles , congratulations , Stuart in Ontario..............
In a time where EVERYBODY goes for the "patina" craze, I'm still glad you painted this car and these colors... Excellant job! A favorite build of mine!!!
After watching this vid...... You are without a dought a bad ass.... Your vision is awesome, and it didn't come over night..... The thing that's unbelievable is you do it with no modern tools..... Your on different level......
Walter P Chrysler wouldn't sell a car a man 'couldn't wear his hat in'.. That's why my 51 Dodge looks like a birdcage. After he left (or passed away) the cars got a LOT lower..
K.T. Keller, the president of Chrysler at the time, favored high roof lines so that your hat wouldn't be knocked off when you were getting in and out of the car.
l was bored it's snowing outside so l turned on TH-cam and stumbled on this I'm an old gear head from the 60s did some 49 Fords and Mercury's had a 51 Ford with a Caddy V8 engine, never bought many parts if something was needed l had friends that worked in junkyards or find an abandoned car in the woods, you did a great job you had me for 1:10 and the music was also great, l will be subscribing as soon as l stop typing, keep up the good work your not just a parts changer like on regular TV your the real thing. :)
Wives don’t cross their arms like that unless they are pissed about something we’ve done or not done ha ha. Fascinating build. The drone work is superb. Way to go!
This. This is what your videos need. The mechanicals? They are fun but predictable. But this chop. That's pure art my friend and you are an artisan. There are dozens of channels out there doing first starts and engine swaps. You keep the transformations coming. It's pure magic and you make it look so easy. I wait and watch for the next fabrication video. You are an artisan.
What a treat for a Saturday night. Got home from a Sled ride, cracked a Beer, and popped TH-cam open only to see this gem in my feed. Thanks man, your skills blow me away. Cheers
You probably don’t look at comments on old videos like this one but I have to say that car, just wow!!! You really took it from the ugly duckling and made it into a real stunner!!! That top chop was incredibly educational to watch!!!
Suckiest part of doing this type of work is perfectionism.. I never was good at being a perfectionist.. takes all the fun out of a project. This type you do takes most of the stress of perfection out of being creative.. I like it.
Brent all I can say is that you are definitely a great fabricator from the beginning to the end. She looks awesome. Thanks for sharing your content. Enjoyed watch this one today.
That top Chop transformed the car into a long and low cruiser, amazing effort Damn you have have a good eye for that. I owned a 47 Chevy Coupe would have loved to chop that and get the Olds V8 fixed. I build the engine but it blew and my Dad was so mad he made me stop cars. I caught up later after i left home. Thanks for posting. I will search your archives for any old coupes. Great Result, Dennis
It went from looking like a Cab, to a sedan. The 2 tone color thing looks period. Like an everyday family car with a kool vibe. You did a real nice job.
Your workmanship is amazing. The Ez that you seem to chop these cars up is truly an art & so cool to be part of via your videos. Would love to see you chop the roof & chop the body a few inches on one of your builds I've always wanted to see that done in a way that's understandable. Other people have done it obs but none of them show their working & mistakes just a thought either way keep them videos coming look forward to watching all you do. Cheers
This is the build that got me hooked on your channel as well. I'm here to stay. What you do were my retirement plans but robbed from me in 1999 with being told I have Multiple sclerosis and now confined to a wheelchair 24/7/365. I even built a 1000 sq. ft. shop in 1986 to be ready to now to only work on mowers, push & lawn tractors snd small engines, and go-karts. I have a small You-Tube channel.
This looks Identical to my 50 Plymouth Special Deluxe !!! I sat mesmerized for the full vid ...dreaming of a wicked chop for my 50 !!! Keep em coming ! Thanks
HELPFUL HINT: Instead of using a gas torch on the glass, you can cut through the plastic film with a 6' piece of measuring tape, It works really well, Love your work by the way.
I really like the fact that you didn't do a radical chop and kelp the rest as original as possible. It has the look of one that would be a daily driver and to me that's what it's all about. Thanks
You're a regular Rembrandt!! Put your thumb up to eye level, give it a once over, then squint the other eye and cut away!! Love it, keep em coming, it's most relaxing and puts a smile on my ugly face lol
My brother took a 1949 Ford Convertible I owned while I was away in the Army and he cut that car all apart and made a miniature of it when T Bird was first starting. He chopped Lowered , Channeled, and man when I came back home and looked for my Convertible I was in shock from what he had done with my car, It was res with the lower part from the front of the front fender well over and back with that Custom Trim many used on those cars was white. Fender skirts and lowered to about three or four inch's off the ground with glass packs and a Vauxhall grill. The top was white with small round hole class for back seat windows and the Hollywood rear wrap around panels for the rear window. I would love to have a car like that today. I raced it on the Salt Flats with a big Flat Head Mercury Interceptor Highway Patrol engine in it and it rotted out in no time.
I think I'v watched this ten times or more while in my garage. Never start to finish but I'v seen it all and put it on when some of my friends come over, also when the sports neighbors come over so they go home!!!

WOW! What a transformation. All it needs now is signs on the doors that say “ Steinbach Cab Company” and of course a roof top light that says Taxi. Nice work.
I really like your channel, you build incredible customizations. You are truly an artist of your craft. Thanks for letting us in to watch you perform your magic. Awesomeness.
You deserve a special thanks and a nod for producing this video. Not many content providers out there are taking the time or effort to feature their builds in a start-to-finish video. One more reason why this channel deserves more credit and exposure in 2021. Cheers! Today 1/23/21 it has 37.9k subs.
This car is absolutely beautiful. I helped do a 39 Ford with the humpback, and ragtop, that was chopped and suicide doors installed, Frenched license plate and taillights. It was beautiful for a ratrod when we were done with it, but the owner installed the drivetrain himself later. We got it ready to be a roller.
Absolutely love your work mate. Just wish I was living in your country and in your state so I can come and learn from you. Anyway keep doing what you do. Blessings
Now that was something else! Wow! Ok, so at first I was watching .... going, wow, a lot of work! Then he was getting intent working on the doors and I said to myself, "Your never going to get it looking good enough to look like a factory job so why bother with that much work!?" Then I was truly amazed to see it coming into a car again.... and after watching for awhile, he pulled it together so incredible! Honestly I would never have started with that car as I thought it wasn't ugly but just lacked something to make it cool. But here now that car looks pretty bad ass! I mean it totally looks ZZ Top cool now! Great video and a great job making a custom relic that will hopefully be around many years after you have been re-rotated into your next life! Thank you. You made it look easy and quick where it must have been weeks or months of works to get that far! CH
That is one sweet ride ! I remember my Grandfather having one just like that and he would be amazed seeing what you did to a car like that ! Awesome job !!
Appreciated the videos on cutting and forming the vent windows. I have a 54 Pontiac Star Chief that was chopped before I purchased and need to do the vents. Thank you!
Wow by chopping that top you made it look like you stretched the car , it looks like a old movie about to start when you're driving down that dirt road, I love and watch all your videos this is the 2nd or 3rd time I watched this one I love your channel keep up the great work wears the (General International 200) I wish I owned that truck it is awesome wow so awesome but God bless you and your family 💯💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏✌

I had misgivings about the chop. WOW! Did it come out good and looks great. I like the colour. Thanks for this vid. Total enjoyment to watch you go thru the paces. Yeah you got to love it.. HA!

Looks so much better wit the lower roof line. Can’t believe the original designers couldn’t see that.

I was admiring your welding skill until I watched your mastery of cutting tempered glass. I was pretty sure it couldn’t be done!
You're a regular Rembrandt!! Put your thumb up to eye level, give it a once over, then squint the other eye and cut away!! Love it, keep em coming, it's most relaxing and puts a smile on my ugly face lol
When the car was finished, it almost looked like an early Hudson Hornet with a different front and back. Very cool.
At first glance kinda looked like a Merc .
My brother took a 1949 Ford Convertible I owned while I was away in the Army and he cut that car all apart and made a miniature of it when T Bird was first starting.
