Victorian High Country Hut Crawl Adventure the final episode

- Embark on an adventure through the breathtaking Victorian High Country with my 'Hut Crawl'. This is the final episode on my Bucket list adventure.! Join me as I set out on a 4wd and touring journey to find 18 Huts in the Mansfield area of Victorian High Country and tick a bucket list item.
In the final episode I embark on the journey to locate the remaining huts. I get word that the dry hut still exist so I venture back up Howqua gap trail and walk back into the trail I left hours earlier to find The dry hut. Finally I find the dry hut and back on track to find 18 huts in the Mansfield area. I leave The dry hut to find No.36 , while a cracking storm front comes across the ranges. I drive past the walking trail to No.36 and find the bash plate on the hilux has come away and study the paper map a bit more and find out No.36 Hut is a walk in hut 1.2km from GGS hut. I return to the location and walk into find No. 36 hut which has changed its name and is on 36 trail.
After spending sometime at the hut I have to make a quick dash back to the car as the storm front is getting closer. Half way down Mt Stirling the front hits me and branches are down everywhere. I manage to get to a clear spot and set up camp.
The final day and 3 huts to go after a quick breakfast I set off to find refuge Mt No3 hut which is a few km's from Razorback hut. I then travel higher into the Victorian high country. I spend some quality time at ridge line and enjoy the spectacular views across endless mountain ranges before heading off and seeking Tomahawk hut. At Tomahawk hut tick another hut is ticked off and only 1 remains Evans Creek hut..
My aim of finding all 18 huts is only 1 hut away and i travel into unknown areas with only a paper map and no GPS. After following a windy dirt steep decline for about 10kms I successfully find Evans Creek hut and the 18 Hut crawl of Victorian high country has been completed.
This is something every Australian should get the opportunity to do. Take the time to stop and look at some of the most spectacular scenery you will ever see at this iconic Australian location, Craig's Hut and some spectacular views across the Victorian High Country.
