    My father had both cars for a short period. About comfort, the Taunus looked like a plywood table in comparison with the majestic softness of the CX.
    And about roadholding, you can see in the movie that CX wins hands down thanks to hydropneumatic suspensions and FWD, while the Taunus behaves like a classic RWD car with live axle at the rear. The Taunus was a good car, probably also more durable, but CX was a masterpiece.

Which, judged by the current standards, are dangerous and almost untraceable. a cx, especially the versions of the last few years equipped with abs, is still very enjoyable even with the traffic of today's streets.even the steering and braking system were technologically advanced at the time, you do not know what you're talking about kid! Get more information. Then the Citroen were not the disgust that they are today the comparison with the taunus does not exist absolutely, Try to drive a CX today and a taunus, then tell me which one can still be considered current! (I looked it up so you don't have to) "Olsen-banden deruda'" ("The Olsen Gang Outta Sight") is the ninth in the 14-film "Olsen Gang" comedy series. The films were so popular they were completely recreated in Norwegian and Swedish. Wiki says, "The gang's leader is the criminal genius and habitual offender Egon Olsen and his accomplices are Benny and Kjeld. The gang members are harmless, extremely rarely target ordinary citizens, and never deliberately use violence."

      @A real bisexual petrol-head modern cars are dogshit, they all look the same and most brands are manufactured by the same few companies. And the cars are designed for safety, economy, and environmental impact rather than for style, performance and longevity like in the past. Only thing new cars do better is safety, fuel efficiency and rust proofing.

      @A real bisexual petrol-head you can't talk about having opinions after you told someone to end their life for preferring old cars 🤣. There's a difference between design trends and badge engineering, nearly every car on the market today has an exact copy sold under a different brand and in the 70s most cars didn't look the "same" like they do now because they were designed mostly by individual designers to suit their image rather then being designed for safety and fuel efficiency. Modern cars do look the same, there are obviously a few exceptions but if you put every hatchback and every crossover on the market next to each other for example you'd find that nearly every single one looks almost the same to the untrained eye, like the Vauxhall Corsa and Peugeot 208, back in the 70s the Vauxhall Chevette looked nothing like the Peugeot 104. And most traffic lights don't look the same, each country uses a certain design so if you were to compare US traffic lights to UK ones or German ones you'd find them very different.

      @indiekiddrugpatrol3117 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @A real bisexual petrol-head ok mate look at the 2020 Vauxhall Corsa and 2020 Peugeot 208 and tell me they don't look almost identical, obviously cars from each decade have always looked similar but now it's on a different level, most brands are owned by the same few companies and most of these companies share technology and components between them which further thins the line and not all cars from the 1920s look the same that's a ludicrous thing to say, put two cars from different manufacturers next to each other and virtually nothing will be the same about them whilst the same can't be said for cars today. The only muscle cars that looked similar to the Dodge challenger were Plymouth ones since they were both Mopar and the corvette obviously looks like an Opel GT since the Opel GT was basically designed as a mini corvette for the European market.

    • @indiekiddrugpatrol3117
      @indiekiddrugpatrol3117 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @A real bisexual petrol-head because cars and soda cans/traffic lights are a bit different mate and if you can't understand why no one cares what they look like them you probably shouldn't be commenting about cars

    • @indiekiddrugpatrol3117
      @indiekiddrugpatrol3117 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @A real bisexual petrol-head ok mate good copy and pasting you're starting to sound like a PSA spokesman, I went past a Peugeot-Vauxhall dealership today and from 100 yards away they look identical since the body is basically the same. And the only muscle car that looks remotely like the Challenger is the Plymouth Barracuda since they're based on each other but even they look so different that if you knew what a Challenger was you'd be able to tell that a Barracuda isnt one from 100 yards away.

    Da hat Ford noch richtig gute Autos gebaut. Und nicht nur Ford. Heute ist alles der selbe Einheitsbrei, der auf den Straßen herumfährt! Zu dem Zeitpunkt konnte ich alle deutschen Autos nur anhand der Rückleuchten den entsprechenden Fahrzeugen zuordnen. Damals waren die Autos wesentlich schöner als heute. Die guten alten Zeiten der Chromstossstangen! Hervorragend! Heute ist eh nur noch alles aus Plastik. Und zu den Zeiten konnten man noch ohne irgendwelchen Computern an Fahrzeugen herumschrauben, heute geht alles nur noch mit Spezialwerkzeug und damals war auch im Motorraum noch Platz zum schrauben im Gegensatz zu heute. Damals waren die Karrren auch noch viel robuster und bekamen nicht schon durch falsches Anfassen Beulen! DIe schönsten Autos der Zeitgeschichte wurden zu dieser, im Video gezeigten, Automobilen Ära gebaut!

      Yeah, the non-convential axles and suspension design is a mark of Citron, but other french vendors make it very like that, eg. renault. In '80 -'90 many cars of France has strange rear systems based of "reactive rods", and there was no way to adjust it properly; the angles and pitch were different on every wheel, it was an nightmare ;-) And the gearbox putted into engine block, like in motorbike??? Nevertheless, 2CV engine was very modern, because of good tolerances between case parts; no need of sealing, good oil pump, air cooling efficient enough even under tropical terms. BUT COMFOTRT ZERO!

    The Ford did much better in my opinion. The FWD CX with soft suspension looked like jelly compared to the Taunus, which was brisk and swift for its size.

    • @gabrielpayan5971
      @gabrielpayan5971 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @A real bisexual petrol-head yes I have heard of movies. It's a joke, beamng has awesome crash physics, and since there's lots of crazy driving and crashes, the joke is to imply that beamng got better graphics. It's a joke..
