@@fancyjoe7474 I actually owned an 08 FJ & now own a 2014, in the 2014 they added crawl control, it also has Bluetooth a backup cam & a different motor with 20 more horsepower roughly.
I also have a silver with white top, with the offroad upgrades (a-trac, locker, a/c outlet, upgraded stereo and sub, etc.). Had it since 2014; got it with like 27k miles on it. Now I have just about 80k miles. The vehicle is still worth as much, or more, than what I paid for it! I have not had a single problem. All I did was replace the spark plugs, rotors, and pads (all factory should last 100k+). I just did it since I was nearing 100k. I put on good parts and am happy I did it; but, my mechanic told me the brakes and plugs probably had another 50K+ left on them! Other than that, just once a year I do an oil change with synthetic oil. I usually only put like 5k on a year, so, once a year works for me. I have a 2008 Honda Civic as well that I drive mostly; for better gas mileage, and to save putting miles on my FJ! My FJ was probably originally purchased in 2011. So, it is basically 10 years old. But, it is still just like new.
I replaced my plugs a few weeks back on a 09 FJ, factory plugs with 180'000km. The gap was almost double what it should have been. Idles nicer now, no noticeable change in power or fuel economy.
So tell me what I need to look for at a dealership besides the rust underneath the body frame so I don't get ripped off buying a used one with the lowest miles?
The only real design flaw was some of the models got front fender creases inside the engine bay when people jumped them. Other than that they are all great.
@Gene Jenkins Jenkins What color is it and does it have original spare tire cover on it that says, FJ? Not like the 2021 Ford Bronco that doesn't have a cover on the spare tire. Ford Bronco looks like a jeep Wrangler far away. At least the FJ cruiser is noticable far away with a spare tire cover that says FJ...
@Gene Jenkins Jenkins , I'm in Dallas Texas. I will try to take a Uber there if possible. Or fly there, then take a Uber. Can you tell me, what's the transmission and engine size. Forgotten how to drive a stick shift 🤣.
I actually traded a Velo turbo for my 2013 FJ Cruiser. And nope, I don't intend to do any off-roading unless my job takes me into sketchy areas. Which is why I let the Veloster go. I needed a dependable and tough vehicle, and I've always loved the retro look of the FJCs.
@@michelt4390 - The ride isn't bumpy. The FJC drives well on crappy roads as well as the interstate. Tell you one thing, potholes are no longer an issue! Yeah, the gas mileage could be a lot better, but I'll take care of that with a larger gas tank. And no, I don't off-road. Not on purpose anyway. Muckin' about in mud has never appealed to me, nor denting up my FJC on rocks, logs, branches and whatever else is along the trail. I don't treat mine like a toy. Repairs and parts are costly. Like I stated before, for me, it's toughness and dependability, and the ability to get in and out of remote areas if that scenario arises.
@@veek3982 I guess it depends what you compare them to (or maybe they made change over the years). My 2012 sure is bumpy, at least when compared to a 4Runner or the wife's Outback. (But not as bad as a friend's 2dr Wrangler) +1 on the larger tank, wished it came that way from the factory. But last I checked, it was about $2K to add one... Mine is 200k miles and still running like brand new!!!!!love it!!!
That's just about broken in @ 200,000 miles.
Just bought a white 2014 model, I love it!
What is the difference between an 07 and 14?
Did it cost you your arms and legs?

i guess it's kind of off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream new series online?

I would definitely buy an FJ Cruiser, specifically model years 09-14. I'd stay far away from FJ Cruisers that are 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 or 2013.
I just bought mine 2021 model, i tried to own it twice in the past but i didn't success, now finally :)
From SAUDI ARABIA me 2021 it will delivered today
@@taataa1291 congratulations

Stunning beast
Im thinking of buying one .I love that truck sooo cool .how does it drive in your opinion
It drives like any suv. Going through bad roads are not as rough as sedans
Amazing
Fun. Just like I was told by two independent owners.
Kind of like a Wrangler. Short wheel base, vehicle is higher that average, stiffer suspension...

@Gene Jenkins Jenkins , that's fine. I can always find a spare tire cover in the after market sale some where. It's not a big deal.

It’s not a spot light on the mirror. It’s a marker light.
He also said, "...on the rearview mirrors." They're side mirrors.
Does anybody know if u can convert this into LPG? (Natural Gas tank in the back).
Yes under car rear part,if don't drive hard off road.

07 ? Do you still own it? 👋
Hopefully not 07.
"Really Cool".....it's temperature was established right at the beginning why the necessity to constantly repeat this??.
....proof that non off roaders buy these things. Now to find a guy that's ready to move on to a Hyundai veloster
It's nice, but to buy one and not take it off road?!? Why would someone put up with the bumpy ride and so-so mpg...
