@@darvan3996 as far as i know many players hided balls too, Fan Zangdon, Lin yun ju, Felix Lebrun, Hugo Calderano, Darko Jorgic, Dang Qiu, Kao Cheng Jui, it doesn't a big deal and frequent happens at tt.
@@MrFreezebook21 And that would be correct, however just because a lot of pros are doing it, does not mean it is the right thing to do. The rules are clear : the ball should not be covered during the service from the toss until it is strucked, but umpires are doing nothing about it. What a sorry state for the sport right now. Might as well revert to the old rules where covering the ball during service is legal.
@@darvan3996 actually I want to emphasize he is not the only person to do so, it is unfair if you just take it personally. As Anders Lind had said in the Macau world cup online chatroom, it was quite common in this sport players made balls hidden by different means whether they did it on purpose or not. Make sure you judge one person's fault when others didn't make the same mistake, otherwise you just do a character assassination to Wang
Is the toss actually legitimate? It seems to me that the ball leaves his hand only at the highest point and the flies only downwards. The ITTF rule for tossing is the following: The server shall then project the ball near vertically upwards, without imparting spin, so that it rises at least 16cm after leaving the palm of the free hand and then falls without touching anything before being struck.
Guys, if he was doing illegal serves as you say, why none of the opponents ever said something about it, neither the umpire? I will tell you why, because you are wrong and you're all haters! :D
Imagine being such a butthurt hater that shamelessly accuse players of illegal serve just because you don't like them. If you really think his serves are mostly illegal, then go ahead provide the time stamps so you can embarrass yourselves.

To be a good table tennis player it's extremely important to develop and execute a range of illegal serves.

Difficult to see due to the camera angle. Also too speed. Where is the teaching?
If this is how a PRO serves, then I want to learn to serve at a higher level.
Just learn Zhang Jike’s serve lmao

Great collection of illegal serves
unrelated note: Wang Chuqin has very long fingernails. always could never really stand to leave my fingernails that long
