    This giant 1,600 tons per hour Kobelco Cone Crusher appears to be operating in an Indian iron ore facility.

    What does the siren mean. Lunch, break, problems?

    Correct me if I am wrong, which is often, you can see sparks emitting from the stones bashing in the cone housing. I want to say that these stones may have zirconium and titanium which do have similar sparks. Both zirc and ti emitt white-colored sparks while iron emit orange colored.

      No, iron ore do not have zirconium & titanium.

      Now this might just be an exercise in local fallacy, however, it appears the sparks are between the aggregate and the hardfacing used on the crusher. I didn't see any sparks in the mass of stones as they fell but they were wet and accelerating together in opposition to the crusher's hardfacing. They use a lot of zirconium alloys for that sort of thing so that could be the source of the zirc color sparks.
      Therefore, I submit it is possible that barring the presence of any zirconium in the aggregate, zirconium sparks can still be seen.
      I yield the remainder of my time

    Would it be better if they use a dirt sifter then bring the rock to the crusher?

    • @almachizit3207
      @almachizit3207 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What would be the point? the dust and gravel goes through easily and the crusher is nowhere near at maximum throughput

      Good management in the pit would have a truck arrive just about as often as the crusher empties but that can be hard to maintain.

      The output from this crusher is not the final product. It will pass through secondary crusher for final sizing. Watch nordberg symons crusher video.

      @@Fe2O3Fe3O4MiningProcessing So this cone would be more a breaker than a crusher?

    • @20bluebug
      @20bluebug 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends on the application. When quarrying for chemical and mineral, (ore for smelting is a perfect example) the shot is broken up pretty fine for easier and quicker passage through the process, which is more cost effective for the company. When quarrying for agrigates the shot is not broken up so fine (because fewer fines are desired) so there is a much greater percentage of large rock, and the crusher does much more work. This type of crusher is quite capable of crushing full loads of boulders the size of washing machines.

    You seem to be your own worst enemy when it comes to attaining the goal of 60 loads per shift... The hook and cable arrangement for clearing jams is horrendously inefficient, why do you wait so long to begin clearing a jam, why do you wait until the cone is completely clear before you dump... even when the previous dump is completely within the cone already?? On some of your videos it is 50% wasted time...
