Unchained Melody is Bobby Hatfield's eternal signature song , every time i hear him singing that unforgettable song i get chills his voice was absolutely incredible . I also saw the Righteous Brothers in Las Vegas live in the 90's it surely was a treat .

If you look closely you’ll notice two things, 1. Excitement level of those two reuniting was off the chains from Wolfman to the man back stage reaching out to Bill , to Paul Williams asking ‘Bros “why they broke up”, (Bobby just glossed over that). Mesmerising, Bobby still had his handsome looks intact. I recall this episode.

@alrightbal9190 yes I find my self crying also. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame makes me cry. Also the videos of Bill singing unchained melody with the video in the back. It's when the video hits the young Bobby that it gets me. It's like I compartmentalize Bobby into different ages. The video puts them all together.

The great guitarist with the solo Barry Rillera and his beautiful shirt almost stole the show for awhile. Barry introduced Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley to each other -- who were each in different groups, then Bobby joined Bill's group The Paramours in 1962, and then they soon became the duo -- the Righteous Brothers. Barry played with them in recordings and touring for over 30 years. He also played with other musicians, including his brothers and also Ray Charles. Bobby and Bill cared about the music and their musicians, both professionally and personally. 🎶✨

@jayjay5729 No, he had 95% blockage. The miniscule amount found in his system is suspect and not an overdose. There was nothing found in his room. His family, friends and Bill never saw him take anything or under the influence. It doesn't add up.

The toxicology report said there was a trace of cocaine but Bill ( his Righteous Brothers partner) nor his family or friends ever saw take any drugs nor under the influence. Bobby could not have performed as well as he did if he was taking cocaine. I believe the test was a false positive.

What a GREEEEEEAT EPISODE!!! The Staple Singers are pure bliss! I was a little 4th grader in '74 and the teachers dressed cool like those Staple Singers ladies...I feel like a kid again, so innocent and respectful of these elders. The Righteous Brothers reunion before our eyes is a cherishable moment. Oh' Happy Day was stompin!!
It's never too late to play an instrument, or too early. The electronic organ is an instrument that can fill your room with these now music standards. The Righteous Brothers Ebb Tide sounds so amazing on an electronic organ 1939-present. Sadly Lowrey was the last of the home organ market to fold just recently, but they finally nailed digital sounding great instead of fake. The great models of the 1960's should be as cherished and preserved just as much as all of the multi-thousand dollar electric guitars. The 60's and early 70's models use basic abundant discrete electronic components ( transistors, resistors, capacitors). SAVE THEM! see- the 1986 Organ Bluebook, and Jan Giradot's Master Organ List. The Organ Forum is a great place for research.

Oh Happy Day got to me...little known fact: The Righteous Brothers were one of the three opening acts for the Beatles first full tour of the USA in August of 1964. They left after a few weeks, to go on to record with a new contract and wound up with their breakthrough hit You've Lost That Loving Feeling reaching #1 in January of 1965. This whole show is absolute proof what great entertainers and singers they were. We lucky to have this all on tape/ computer, history preserve din a live performance. this was just before they released Rock and Roll Heaven that year and the follow up hit Dream On...

"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is a ballad written by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell. Although Russell was dying of lymphoma and the pair met only three times, they managed to collaborate on the song. In his 1884 book The Parables of Jesus, James Wells tells the story of a little girl carrying a big baby boy. Seeing her struggling, someone asked if she wasn't tired. With surprise she replied: "No, he's not heavy; he's my brother." ~wiki
