    Im happy that he has a unique terror radius size as although small can help a character feel special. I hope they keep experimenting with terror radius sizes as it keeps some killers more fresh.
    Hope they eventually revert Pig back to 28 meters!

    A bit of clarification on Wesker's power. The second dash is actually longer than the first one and not shorter, but it's pretty difficult to see in rpd. Survivors are fully infected when you see a red circle around them in the hud, in that case even if they are healty you can directly grab them with your dash. You grab survivors even if they are not fully infected, but they need to be injured to do that. The "virulent bound extension" (the one mentioned in the chalice add-on description) is the window where wesker will continue to go further with his dash (after hitting a survivor with it) trying to collide with a wall, if that is not the case, the survivor will be thrown away, getting injured if hitting something but not getting infected. Hope this helps!

    The second charge actually goes much farther than the first, it’s just bugged on ramps at the moment which just so happened to be where otz checked the distance both times.

      I also find it quite frustrating at times, it often feels like you'll bump into literally any prop or wall that is not the floor if you touch even so much as a pixel of them and cancel the dash.

    I feel that Wesker is absolutely the best killer with an infection mechanic. With Plague it's an inconvenience, with Nemesis it makes him annoying, but Wesker here makes it an active threat. When he infects you, you best start running to the spray disinfectants or he's going to easily grab you regardless of your health state. It's like a weaker Tombstone Myers.

    For a few who wanna know real quick.
    Wesker currently is immune to flashlight saves after grabbing someone.
    After vaulting with your power your unable to hit a surv with the 2nd hit (might be a bug.)
    He does indeed wesk all over chris after 7 minutes.

    Otz, note that the red circle means that they are actually fully infected, and so if they are slammed into a wall while Wesker is holding them, they will be instantly downed even if healthy. You also grab injured survivors that you slam into walls as well, which is what you were actually doing.

    The dash his bound provided into a window/over a pallet would be HUGE especially with his +40% speed perk. If a surv fast vaults he can close that gap immediately and even without the 40% perk he could be right behind them again because if you are just outside hitting range you can prep a vault to be right on their heels. Also skips over god pallets/windows

      His dash is really fun, if you can aim it right without colliding with terrain, you can dash around corners to chase survivors down.
      Dash forward a short distance, flick to a 90 degree turn and jump double the distance.
      The only catch to be aware of: When you dash and hit a survivor, if they're on a ledge you'll push them off and you get locked in an animation for ashort duration and stay on the upper ledge.

      I already know that Wesker is gonna be my next main killer. The biggest thing that consumes my time are those loops where if the survivor is good enough you don't get much gain on them. With that dash you can make up that distance and cut your time down by 3/4 the normal amount. Could probably work for shack pallet too. If they throw it you can not only break it but get right back on their heels where they could otherwise have gotten a good enough lead to make you pursue another target.

    Funny how he never realized the true range of the second charge and he never actually used his power on a fully infected survivor.
    Smashing an injured survivor on a wall will always grab them, grabbing a fully infected (red thing around the character) Will grab them regardless of their health state once smashed to the wall, unless they have off the record . Then it wip and the survivor goes directly in to deep wound.

    Did you know that both sides/maps are randomly generated as well?
    For example, on the West side you sometimes have access to the burning helicopter area and sometimes you don't. Or maybe there are more holes in the walls or floors, which causes rooms to have multiple entrances.
    It's pretty cool have they've done that!

    Reactive healing heals 35% of the “missing progress”, which makes it absolutely useless, not only it heals you much less when having high progress, but als makes it that you’ll never get fully healed by this perk

      Exactly my thought. It is situational at best.
      That being said, it is fair, as it would otherwise pick up downed survivors upon activation (last 5% count as healing, not recovering).

      Perks like this should be a flat 10 progress + 25%, same for pop (though with lower numbers than that). Game design wise it's the better way to balance percentage based effects. Effective in the intended purpose (Aka empty heal bar) But not useless when your heal bar is already up high.

      Wesker's in luck though: Going against any competent SWF means there's no way the match lasts 7 minutes. Maybe 5... if no BNPs are involved.

    Reassurances cooldown starts instantly when you give the survivor the 30 seconds so the actual downtime is just 10 seconds. You can in theory use this perk 5 times per hook phase. If multiple instances can overlap you can make a person on the hook literally immortal if the killer doesn't follow the Reassurers.

    The best part of Reassurance is that you can use it from ABOVE basement, so if someone is camping basement you can literally just stand in shack and stop the person from losing progress

      Now, he could always handle the Oroburos. He did not even go feral. Even taken over by Oroburos was still talking and using strategy like splitting up Sheva and Chris to make them easier targets. He took a huge hit of Oroburos when he put his arm in the storage tank. He was still in control but bonded to Oroburos for more power. The lore indicates this Wesker only had slight exposure to Oroburos when the BSAA invaded the hanger containing the Oroburos early.

      Agreed, if you play and main demo then I can see him being in the same spectrum in terms of chase potential. All your trading out between demo and wesker is the teleport and First aid spray slowdown respectively

    According to what i've found, the first bound goes 14m/s for .5 seconds and the second bound lasts for 1 full second. I think you were just hitting things with your second bound. Survivors are THROWN when you don't slam them into a wall... the EXTENSION refers to that distance you move AFTER you grab someone. Like when you grabbed them then moved faster into a wall to slam them. Also infected survivors are ALWAYS hindered, it just increases in strength when you reach MAX INFECTION. They are 5% hindered just by being infected, they are 8% hindered at max infection.

      i'd say hes actually fairly stronger. only 2 hits to fully infect, add ons are pretty good, he has good perk synergy, and you can actively move survivors away from tiles if you can grab them at the right angle effectively dead zoning them on some maps like dead dawg saloon. hes weaker in a way hes bugged and his collisions dont seem to match up.

    I think both dashes are the same length. It must get stopped on inclines sometimes, which is probably a bug. Wesker looks amazing though!

      its just really that inclines like stairs are horrible with movement abilities in most games. i think they didnt make them actual stairs but rather slopes which just slows you down when you use such a dash into it. a nice example is also in for example elden ring some enemies cannot move up certain slopes and stairs because of their movement. id say blame unreal engine and map design choices in the end

    I’m disappointed that he uses the Ouroboros instead of just doing his iconic charge, I also don’t understand the knife. I like that it has the RE4 & 5 swing animation but Wesker is more known for his insane hand to hand fighting. Still looks fun to play even if he acts more like Jack Krauser (possible legendary skin?)

      Yeah, my one gripe is the heavy Ouroboros focus instead of his hand-thrusts. The mori also didn't have his sunglasses toss. I wouldn't mind if the tentacles were just his M1 vs. a palm-thrust out of his charge, but they really went nuts on those gross worms he couldn't even fully control.

    that window perk works with his power which is nuts, the mori is crazy, he's fully voiced and has unique voice lines with Chris. They did really well with him! The ouroboros tentacles are the wrong color though, they should be dark red/fleshy not black. Other than that I'm pumped! Ada and Rebecca look great!

      @@prohikikomo Sadako can "feel" more powerful but Dredge has great antiloop and has more room for mistakes unlike Sadako who barely has any antiloop(unless its short loops where she can invisible lunge) and cant make many mistakes. If you're not talking from a meta perspective then yes sadako-chan is cuter and can be headpatted

    For a character that is known for hand-to-hand combat, I am very confused at the choice of giving Wesker a knife.
    He also has a handgun named after him but I can't think of a single time Wesker is seen with a knife.
    I'd understand if it were Krauser.
    Still looks fun, though.

      About the knife, I think it's because, despite the fact that he uses only punches and kicks and even being both strong, I'm not sure if that would be enough to make survivors bleed already just by one strike. A knife would make a bit more sense. Nemesis fits a little more with that since he's a lot stronger. All STARS had their own knives if I'm not wrong so still works someway.

A punch would break bones but they wouldn't really bleed unless they were hit with a killing blow. A cut makes a bit more sense just in the design aspect. Everything else is kinda just left out lol

      i'd disagee as if you just throw someone they don't get injured. although maybe that could occasionally be fine? maybe he'd be best on open maps with the add ons that increase your toss range/how far you go with the survivor.

    A couple of comments:
    First dash is actually shorter; you just clipped an obstacle on the second one, and never noticed before or afterwards that the second dash is actually longer (first is like 8m, second is like 12)
    The red ring means fully infected, which means hindered and can be picked up no matter what when dashed into, even when healthy, and without needing to hit a wall
    Bashing an injured Survivor into a wall after dashing into them will pick them up instantly regardless of infection progress (you did this several times and mistook it for the fully infected pick up, and even missed the times you picked up people that weren't infected at all)
    It also specifies in the power just before the Infection header that the "obstacles" it says you can vault are just pallets and windows; no low walls or anything like that
    And that's about it ^-^ Just wanted to clear up some of the misunderstandings and get some information straight
    EDIT:
    Virulent Bound extension is the distance you charge holding the Survivor you hit before either slamming them against a wall or throwing them (I'm 99% certain of this)

    I think low profile should do this instead
    After crouching for 3 seconds Low Profile activates for 15 seconds. When low profile is activated, your footsteps make no sound and you don't effect grass, bushes, corn, etc while moving throught them. Low profile has a cool down of 60/45/30 seconds.
    in my opinion, could be a pretty cool stealth perk if reworked.

    I feel like Hyperfocus would go really well with Stake Out (easy great SCs), Prove Thyself and Fast Track (high risk high reward). Put a Brand New Part/Wirespool on with Commodius and you've probably got the most toxic gen rush build ever devised. I'm kinda curious on how that would effect a generator, and if these perks would actually have good synergy or not.
    Could be good on paper and horrible practically.

      @@zachtemoro2116 It just seemed kinda backwards. Wesker is more of an intelligent manipulator from behind the scenes (until RE5) whereas Nemesis is a powerhouse monster hellbent on destruction. He can have the tentacle, but the aggressive throw seems less like Wesker and the zombies would suit him more. Still love both killers but just seemed backwards.

    Why in the world does Wesker have a knife when he can move fast enough to dodge bullets? I'm pretty sure he can punch harder than Nemesis.

      For visual clarity. Namesis’s hand is BIG.
      Otherwise, we would have the good old “Freddy’s lunge” situation (small weapon model leads to loss of visual clarity from survivor’s perspective).

      In the RE4 the playable Wesker has a devastating super speed punch that can knock entire crowds back about 20 feet.

    if your on the dying state when the last gen finishes with that perk that makes everyone broke does adrenaline heal you because I’m pretty sure even with broken you can be healed out of the dying state

    Came here to understand the Chalice (Gold) add on just to find out Otz also didn't get at first. These descriptions are not very clear, I know there's a buff at something but don't know what. Thanks for the info!

    8:00 That is strong enough, even with the gen "nerf" of 10 seconds making it 90 that 6% bonus over 35 seconds will do more then expected. Especially with more people with this buff. Also stacking it with other speed boost perks like overzelous and prove thyself. Put that with a tool box and you'll be getting really fast gen speeds. Also if you end your dash prior to slamming them into an object you will throw them, if they hit an object after the throw they are injured if they don't nothing happens

      Nah. It is only 6% for 35 seconds, doesnt matter how long the gens take from 0 to 100%. So actually it only gives you 6% boost of 35 seconds (around 2 seconds time saved). But only IF you jump on a gen right away and IF the gen takes more than 35 seconds to complete.
      I really like the concept of the perk, but it certainly needs to be buffed. Like, make it a whole minute and only go down in timer when the survivor does one of the speed up actions, so you definitely get your value.

      @@RayneHyuga sounds alright to me, y. but still: the amount of time needs to be buffed as well. how often do you get injured in a match and healed up again with the perk and then be able to make use of the time...
      its just too many "ifs" for too small of an effect.

    Better than new should be really fun for solo que. Pair it with empathic connection and prove thyself whilst working on a gen and teammates can come to you for healing and help you complete the generator extra fast.

    great vid otz i think the lab photo add on should be base kit and be changed to something like three bounds for 20% longer to charge up or less distance

    I am really really really confused about the "grab fully infected survivors automatically" part of his power because Otz has been smashing not fully infected people into walls and grabbing them automatically if they were already injured (which makes sense) but at the end of the video he grabbed a fully infected survivor and still threw them instead of grabbing them.

      If he doesn't slam them he still throws them if they're fully infected

      But if he does slam them he still picks them up even if they're not fully infected. Unless maybe it only serves as a pseudo-instadown for fully infected non-injured people.

      He only picks up after a slam if:
      A. The Survivor is injured
      B. The Survivor is fully infected

      Ok. Here is how it goes.
      If you land your power on a survivor, you push them away. Survivor hitting a wall makes them take damage.
      Exceptions:
      If survivor is INJURED and you push them AND slam them into a wall, he will pick them up right away.
      If a survivor is INFECTED and you land your power pounce on then (regardless of the wall), they will go on your shoulder.
