Wildlife Conservation Through Responsible Farming

Here in the Aladdin Valley, hay season starts a little later. On our farm, we specifically try to time our haying with the growth of the wild turkey poults. During the month of June, wild turkey poults need tall grass to help them stay safe and evade predators. As the summer progresses, they require more open space to search out protein sources such as grasshoppers. We love our wildlife here at Blue Ridge Farm and work hard to create and maintain good habitat for the native flora and fauna of our region.
