Thanks for That interesting walk, Dave. I've never been into Lyndhurst church, but it does look very interesting. The traffic down the A337 is so bad in the summer, that once I get into the town, I'm only too keen to get out the other side without stopping. I've played on the golf course on several occasions and yes, it can be wet. I belong to the Andover Golf Club and the New Forest Club is one that we can play on for free during the weekdays. They are a very friendly club. That was a nice chat with the green keeper. I reckon he's been there a while.
An unusual fact about Frederick, Lord Leighton is that he was the bearer of the shortest-lived peerage in history. After only one day his hereditary peerage was extinguished on his death!
That certainly is an unusual fact indeed. I see that he was also the first painter to be given a peerage as well. Shame that he didn't get that much time to enjoy the title!
Awwwww ponies beautiful. Logan looking very smart in his coat very nice 👍 yes a very lovely walk 👍👍👍👍Dee
Thanks Dee. Yes - Logan has a variety of coats ... depending on the weather!
Lovely walk, more childhood memories for me - thank you Dave!
Thank you. I think I will have to do another walk around Lyndhurst this year - that one was a while ago!
I used to live there many happy memories
What a lovely village to have lived in.

Thanks Lionel. Yes, the green keeper was a very friendly chap.
Thanks Dave. Best place on any golf course is the 19th :)
The best way to end a walk!
Good knowledge Dave, very informative as always. I was intrigued by the sign ‘to the Custards’!
Believe it or not....there is a house called "Rhubarb Cottage" down there!
Very enjoyable walk. So you do have bad weather sometimes!
Oh yes...indeed you will start to see Logan out in his "Winter" coat soon!
Nice walk Dave. I know Lyndhurst well. And I agree about the acorns - 2019 was a bumper year!
Thank you. Yes indeed...the pannage season was extended by a few weeks at the end of 2019 to give the pigs more time to polish off the acorns!
I used to sing in the choir of St. Michael's. sad to see that they took away the pews.
How interesting. A super church to be part of a choir in, I should imagine. Thanks for watching Saul.
@@DaveFord Yes many fond memories of the choir. It was lovely to see this video of familiar places from my childhood. Thank you so much for the video.
