When you see all the Phish rig videos you are getting concrete explanations of sound and how only four guys can make so much of it onstage. Love these in depth explanations of their equipment, let's me know how on earth they rocked so hard the other night in San Diego! We are priveleged to still have these guys around, playing live.
you all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Mustafa Beau thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Is it weird if I wanna see the evolution of their live gear from 1989 to maybe 1994? I herd they had a big inventory early on and it obviously improved with the shows.
@@reeceschrock396 Not weird at all! it's interesting to listen to shows throughout the years and listen to the tone changes that came with new effects being added/removed
Love that you are using the original gear and not patches or softsounds. I miss my Fender Rhodes 73 suitcase! My first rig was a stage Rhodes and an Arp String Ensemble. Eventually I added an Arp Axxe and then a Crumar organ. Old school baby!
First Phish show was UIC chicago. I think 92 or 91. Fell in love and have seen almost 100 shows since. I wish they would come back to Thompson Bowling arena in Knoxville soon or nashville NC or Atlanta. Thanks guys.😍
Dear Page - You are my favorite. Thank you for being you. That's all I have to say... But let just say one more thing, you are an amazing musician, I really appreciate this video and hope you can make an update to it for 2021, because you have been absolutely on fire with it this year. That's all I have to say. But let me just say one more thing: Thank you.
Dear Page- your band stalks me on my phone and computers to play cruel real life jokes as in Sci Fi Soldier. Did this joke go on too far? Was it cruel? Was it criminal? find out soon idiot
Treys birthday Memphis 99 ...first show!.. Two strips deep took me to a whole new level of community in music and I've strived to get on each one of your levels to share in the groove and I can't find my mike trey page or jon...just egos
Surprised by all the pre-analog electro-mechanical keyboards. Hammond, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, hohner. Props for using the real thing, and not faked on a digital keyboard.
Wow that is a lot of vintage instruments which brings some complexity as far and reliability and redundancy. Most would probably try to recreate using Kronos, stage 2 and electro or something. The Korg Vox Contiinental is an interesting keyboard for vintage sounds.
those are some of my favorite songs that he was talking about. I've seen walls of the cave, and waves a lot. I'd like to see pebbles and marbles, i do not think that i've seen that, in terms of new songs. Also, i'd like to see Maze. I've seen ghost a lot too.
the shroom and LSD effect is the auto stabilizer used in the editing. The cameraman must have had a few latte's before filming this. with his phone. the phish pro guy is the second angle, clearly.

5:40 "if that's at all familiar with you..." That's hysterical.
Oh man...that is SO funny!
It IS hysterical lol.
You’ll never get out!
if there was a video of him just playing riffs i would love the shit out of that

this interview was apparently filmed underwater.
I thought I was having a flashback
The band is called “Phish” after all

Very cool video that answered a lot of questions I had on Page's setup. The little Wurlitzer keyboard is sweet!
I wish they would do one of these every time they changed they're rigs. Seeing them talk about their gear is so cool for some reason.
I know!! Trey changed his amps and fx a few tours ago and Page gets a new synth thing almost every damn tour it seems!!!

THEY ARE RIGS
@@Meltedcheese567 Aren't they, though?

I had a Rhodes, an Arp Pro Soloist, and a Mini-Moog! Great times. I did not enjoy lifting the Rhodes, though.
5:54 - If that's at all familiar to you. Love that dude.
I can't be the only one who shouted "HEY!" at 3:12

I wish I could have my own crew carry around and set up a rig like he has. for now, my dual synthesizers will do.
I love Page’s electric piano sounds especially the fender Rhodes. I could listen to him play it for hours
every riff he plays makes me smile bigger and bigger.
He's so funny in an understated way!
I have always wondered over the decades how he got that noise in Maze - now i know
The volume just increases, the resounding echoes grow.
Joe Moe just the great of PmcD
Thanks for the tour 🙏
i could listen to page talk all day
I love him so much! Thanks for the being the glue, Page!
I love love love that when he intros the Wurlitzer he plays sleeping monkey❤️

I’ve never gotten seasick from a video about keyboards before but here we are
Such a great guy.
That Hammond B3 is glorious.
Damn his entire rig has to be worth a ton of money. The C7 alone is a lot. Well worth it, this man puts them to great use.
Phase 90 through the clav, sweet
It's amazing how much better the clav sounds than on an all in one keyboard
Wow that is a lot of vintage instruments which brings some complexity as far and reliability and redundancy. Most would probably try to recreate using Kronos, stage 2 and electro or something. The Korg Vox Contiinental is an interesting keyboard for vintage sounds.
I'm so happy he called it the Page side.
Page Please make another solo album! Maid Marian is so beautiful!
he is so FREAKING adorable
I also saw an orange Wurlitzer electric piano, a Fender Rhodes Mark I, a Yamaha CS80 synth and a Hohner Clavinet D6.
Where does he put his sandwich?
never said a word about his favorite plugins. dang.
Beautiful and awesome ~ :)
How cool is he?! What a nice guy.

Love that tiny riff on lil punkin...let it be
cool tour

One day I'll get a Hammond B3! My favorite bands use it.
Love the nod to billy preston at 1:55
also sleeping money a phish song

Yeah i hate using camera shake settings. It fucks with the image.
Only a super group with an army of roadies could travel with a CP-70 electric grand, B3 and every other classic keyboard from the 70s.
I love you page
Awesome! (And filmed in LSD cam!)
This film was brought you from under water, 'if that's at all familiar to you...'
Yeah, this is more your thing. #FZappa20
Damn how the hell you remember all that?? Sound never enough!!
what is wrong with the camera towards the end?
Fun rundown! But did the camera drop acid?
😂😂😂😂😂🎉
I am#sorry but is #vida blue still a thing?
What in the flying what happened with the filming of this.. lol
Nice to hear someone who knows how to pronounce Moog correctly! Page is the man.
The phaser looks like an MXR Phase 90. Why was it covered with orange tape?
Luke Reiss it is a phase 90
Phase 90s are orange
It is all familiar to me ;)
Legato and Staccato refer to the attack of the articulation.
Is this Portsmouth? Looks like it. LOVED that show
i was thinking maybe mansfield MA (comcast/greatwoods/verizon... whatever the name is now)
"ummm...if that's at all familiar to you."
BAH-HA!
This video made me sea sick
GOATED
what song does page play on the wurlizther?
Slave to the traffic light
It’s also the organ/wurly break from the Beatles- Let it Be.
Maze intro ftw
Those shows*
This is my pitch pipe, and if you're operating the camera, pan away now for MTV coolness.
"They call me Microphone Page." - 7-6-98 Soundcheck
1:55 is that one of your songs? I heard The Beatles covered it.
That riff is featured in Sleeping Monkey (Phish) but it actually comes from the Beatles tune Let it Be
@@mrscmrski It comes from the Paul McCartney song Maybe I'm Amazed.
shoreline!
PAGE
Please make an updated version of page's rig...if not for the horrible auto-focus going on, then to show off his new synth
what is new to his rig?
What synth did he add to his live rig?
As I watch this video, a Nord Stage keeps coming to my mind. Not sure why. 🤔
Noticed that he has one on top of the Hammond now... Can't imagine why on top of all this gear!
Nos dias atuais, com toda a tecnologia, os tecladistas não têm o mesmo nível técnico.
That is at all familiar to us.
Looks like Portsmouth....
Maybe this is obvious but worth saying, Page always nails it. Could be because the piano is foreign to me, more likely it's because he kills it
And then be able to remember 10 thousand tunes. And you gd to go
Keyboards are integral to good o'l fashion rock music
Rage side!
Thats not a Rig....its a Museum !!!!!! 😂😁
Now 400 and 3ighty 5 iveeee pounddds! Underwater! 😂

If you gave me a felony in 2003 and made Sci Fi Soldier to humiliate me, then I am asking again for punitive damages. Is your answer No?
must be the biggest nightmare to move around EVER. I could get all these sounds with 2 boards max
doubt it would sound as good, page has such a great lineup of purist keyboard sounds. cant go wrong with analog baby
I'd put my tones to the test any day
bofuscrapshaw urrrmuhghurd quit hatin'

urrrrggghhh don't call me a moron
it's the ragest side of all sides.
What the hell is with the horrible camera?
Nice to see real instruments as opposed to pierced tatoed dude laying down EDM or DJ'ing on us, trying hard to prove that he's a musician.
he posted my zipdrive videos on a porn site. he has moved to distributing it page. so this is 2 charges poss and dist
Ok now I’m drunk from the crappy film work.
For all the high end HD video Phish produces, the crew on this is atrocious! At least it sounds good.
this camera is distractively animorphizising
fem dead ween is if thr trip went bad dead
Idk, but this guy is not a sympathetic fellow somehow.
