      It's either re-sign Jaylen Brown or let him walk potentially next season and signify to Tatum that this isn't a team that's trying to win. You don't re-sgn JB, you don't get equal value back for him, your title window is closed. It's not about the dollar amount of the contract (which will look like peanuts in a few years when better players get their supermaxes) it's about maintaining what is already in place and that is year in and year out being a contender. NBA GM's know a lot more than youtube commenters I can assure you that.

  • @robertadams305
    @robertadams305 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +35

    Bottom line: JB wasn't leaving Boston by his own accord. Signing supermax deal with Celts was priority for him all along. Celts overpaid for a very good 2nd best player, but that's what you do when you contend for a title. Both JT and JB will contend for multiple titles during their prime with the Celts. They acted as though the Celtics are running it back again minus Marcus Smart. There was a brief comment about the Celtics changing it up this offseason by getting rid of Smart but how about discussing what the Celtics have added. Granted, Porzingis's health is always in question but let's discuss the fact that Porzingis and Robert Williams presence on the court with the Jay's is a new look that we have yet to see.
