- The Cumbria Way stretches over 74 miles between Ulverston and Carlisle in the English Lake District. We walked the trail in five stages, starting from Carlisle and walking south.
On day 4 of our Cumbria Way journey we start to leave the high fells behind us as we walk out of the Langdale Valley past Skelwith and Colwith Forces, up to Tarn House and down into Coniston. After stopping at the Black Bull for sustenance we carried on along Coniston Water and up on to Torver Low Common where we wild camped for the night.
Well done Linda and Roger, I can’t believe the miles you keep putting in.
This is my fav type of video, a longer trip seeing how it unfolds.

This is our first multi-day hike, hopefully not the last. Very different experience to a one night wildcamp. ATB
@@thewanderingforester give me a shout if want a companion on another trip. 👍
One awesome of a day. Really enjoy seeing those stone walls...thought maybe you'd ask the paddle boarders for a lift and a bit of a shortcut! Hope the day did end well for you both!
Unfortunately the paddleboarders were going the wrong way 😃 The walls are a real feature of that area, some hundreds of years old. All the best, Roger
Looking good. Nearly there now folks..enjoying the series.
Thanks, just the one day to go!
Hey, you made it to a great lunch Roger. This stretch looked very lush - full view. Well done on pushing through. Mark
Thanks Mark. Have to stop at the Black Bull!
@@thewanderingforester A pleasure Roger - yeah has to be done.
Nice going 👍
Thanks. Easier walk that day!
Your nearly there, 🥳 I stayed at Coniston hall campsite the first time I did the Cumbria Way never again awful place was kept awake most of the night, you did the right thing carrying on. Question for you how did you go on charging batteries up for the GoPro? I plan on filming my trip as well. ATB Karl 👍
Hi Karl. I had five enduro batteries and we had two battery banks so it wasn't much of a problem. There were sockets in all the campsites we stayed in as well. ATB, Roger
@@thewanderingforester that’s good to know was hoping to charge at campsites. I’ve got 4 and a battery pack but will probably need a top up. Thanks for the sub as well really appreciate it. 🙏 ATB Karl
