I've recently built a Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer deck with a stax theme. And I've noticed that Venser, the Sojourner is great for temporarily turning off oppressive cards like Presence of the Master or Damping Matrix when you need to get your own effects through
Just dismantled my Tuvasa deck for casual with the decree of solemnity combo in it. Never popular when that went off. Thoughts on Naru Meha BTW? I'd built it as a budget cEDH list but I've seen her gain some popularity online recently from other videos.
Do you have a way of cycling cards back into the deck through that combo? The only thing that really scares me about it is it reads "whoever has the most cards in the deck wins."
@@nighttimecollector Are you referring to the Decree of Solemnity combo? If so you just play your deck and kill your opponents at your leisure since they have next to no outs from not being able to resolve a spell really, it only affects them.
ive built narhu meha and i have kicked ass with her. late game i normally just cast time stretch and then blink or cast narhu and then shit starts going nutty
I do wanna play it more. But it combos have gotten a bit bad. Or shall we say fallen behind. It just doesn't win that fast sadly. It is a cool commander and I have to say I do like it. Do I plan on playing it on the other channel. I have noticed you post a lot of comments there too. So don't worry. But I wanna do it when it gets some upgrades. The big question is when ... it gets its upgrade.
@@cedhtv nice , I am glad it is still on the table. I play a casual tuvasa with gods and it is fun but I would love to see a Mons version get played ! Thanks for the content , it truly is some fun stuff !!!
That definitely is possible. But your opponents can get out of it. But a land into play untapped. Use the untaped land to blow up one of the enchantments. So it's not bulletproof. But ir works.
Nice video! Pretty creative. Can you make a video about voltron commander decks that could be on competitive scenarios? (I'd include anything that wins by racing the opponent on combat damage, like Rafiq of the Many). Keep up the good work!
There are no commander or competitive EDH decks that have Voltron as their main battle plan. But there are commanders that have voltron potential just Automattic. Tuvasa is a good example. She becomes a voltron commander without even trying. Akiri Line-slinger is another good example. But the subject sounds interesting. Might do a video about Voltron in cEDH.
@@cedhtv It's very nice from you to reply, i appreciate it. It makes sense. Let me remake my question then. What should happen in cEDH for Voltron strategies to be in the spotlight (or share it) with the other archetypes?
emm. What do you mean exactly. Like what cards would be needed for it to work? Like what would wizard need to print? Or what change would be needed in the format metagame?
@@cedhtv What i mean is like, what should a voltron commander bring to the game to be able to race/challenge the current metagame that cEDH has, what do they lack, which strategies should be able to make them able to win games against combo/control/stax-like decks. I know it's an open question, i myself have played combo decks for several years, just soft of finished an Arcum Dagsson Paradox+Flute deck and had most of my playgroup complain about not having any fun, just sitting in front of me and watch me put all my deck on the board without being able to interact or (as they say it) "having fun", which i know isn't the point of cEDH. I myself enjoy the idea of having a different strategy than the metagame requires me to succeed. What i've thought about is: Do we need more bans of early combo staples? Do we need a paradigm shift on our way of thinking about the voltron strategy? Do we need commanders that are more resilient to removal? Or do we need commanders that start a faster clock for the game to end? I'm just a random player that keeps looking for those answers. Thanks again!
I love the videos, what’s you opinion on Taigam, ojutai master? I saw your turns build, but do you think he could be built in other viable cEDH ways, like maybe high tide or storm?
Don't know. I am skeptic. The turns build is the only confirm working build with him. Maybe some form of strange storm build. This is a field few ever experimented in. Second turn storm style. It would be a storm build that doesn't focus on building stormcount. If you know what I mean. A normal typical storm build would never work because a storm has to happen everything on the same turn, kinda. But there are storm builds that don't build storm count, so big maybe.
Thank you for your advice. I play tuvasa voltron with some auras like rancor, instill energy, daybreak coronet, aqueous form, and the cycle of on colour auras from shadowmoor block. Do you think it's a good idea? I enjoy playing like this because tuvasa becomes an enormous creature and i beat down with it. I also play the aura that gives infect...
Along these same lines, how close is Estrid for CEDH? She seems close to me. Able to combo with the chain veil, and able to break the parity or stasis and such easily.
She works. Stasis might be one of her best combos. Stronger then Chain veil in my opinion. If you have something that makes permanent enter tapped and stasis. And estrid you have the game.
I dont like helm of piece just because you only take out one person at a time. Nail biting hoping you dont get knocked out or pieces disrupted by the time it tables back to you .

It looks kinda like a stax deck but there is a lot of cards I would replace. But it all comes down to what you are going up against. Take ghostly prison for example. Good vs Najeelas and Tymnas. Or not that good actually but it doses something. I think more enchantresses are good, np. But the auras like beer umbra ... Not so sure about that one. In my playgroup 55% are playing Najeela. We had a pod of 4 Najeelas. Mega mirror match. Everyone was playing a different Najeela deck btw, that was really fun. We started to joke about a mono-white deck with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite as the commander.
I would like to share what I did with Tuvasa, its not 100% CEDH but it runs a lot of combo lines, I like adding in Enchanted evening lines as well as having a flash rector/aura thief into omnicience/decree of silence tappedout.net/mtg-decks/02-08-18-enchantment-2/
Don't use Arcane Laboratory and mana maze. It hinders your own deck more than opponents and takes away a HUGE card and play advantage that Bant Enchantress decks give you. It's shooting yourself in the foot.
Real honest question, how can you have the card in front of you and still call it the wrong several times straight? Also I understand the accent and English not being your first language (it isn't mine either) but come on...
I feel like rhystic study and root maze are also a must include
I included both in my tapped out list.
i didn't doubt that, i just felt they deserved to be mentioned, great work as always @@cedhtv
