The sound engineer(s) did an amazing job, evrything things sits into the mix beautifully, Lizs vocals are sitting perfectly and the bass just flows, stunning

I didn't pay this song much attention when it first came on Channel V/MTV. I was one of those heavy metal dudes who was ashamed of listening to anything else as a young school kid. But the melody always appealed to me. Now, decades later, it is one of my favourite songs and there is not a day when I do not listen to it. An ethereal masterpiece that was far far ahead of it's time.
That rendition of teardrop was absolutely stunning

Amazing this is from 2023! They sound as good as ever. I saw them in Boston in the late 90s. What an incredible show.
I introduced my daughter while driving her to nursery then primary school in Ealing London to Massive Attack....her favourite tune is Unfinished Symphony. She's now 16 and lover of ALL genres of music....

Ohhh Man!!! listening to Angel, Angelo Bruschini just knew what was right for these tunes...I love guitarists who add the perfect texture and sound scrape to music, "its not what you play it is what you dont play" He may have left this earth but these songs will be around forever, rest in peace Angelo.

Superb on so many levels; textures and grooves. In my eighth decade now and such a joy to be transported with soundscapes (not a lyrics man) as I was when first hearing Pepper, Jimi and the birth of progressive pop/rock on my Dansette as a teenager. I remember seeing the Cocteau twins supporting if I remember rightly either depeche mode or OMD at Newcastle city hall in the early 80s. One of them great gigs. Great voice. 👍

That vocal wow what a voice
Cocteau Twins seemed to have invented their own genre of music. Teardrop is a beautiful echo of that with Liz Frasier's vocals. As far as expecting vocals to be stronger, my experience of live Cocteau Twins was also that only some of the studio effect could be put across live. Her voice is tremendously subtle but not given to just belting.
It was next to impossible to get a ticket for that Mezzanine tour in 2019 and I’m still sad I missed it. Hope we get new round of shows soon! 🤞

What an incredible performance and production in every way. I have always loved Liz Fraser's totally unique way of vocalising... One favourite is her Cocteau Twins' "BLUE BELL KNOLL", released in the 1980s.. if anyone out there hasn't heard it, you really should.

Massive Attack is one of the electronic music band projects I'll perhaps love forever, and never get bored of it. I had the great pleasure(honour) to work as local stage rigger on a small festival in Cologne back in 2007, or something, and watched their performance. It was amazing! And I also like Robert's attitude regarding our political situation. I wished they would come to play on our small island in the gulf of Thailand once.
