This album is timeless. One of the best of all time. I don't know a single person who doesn't think this album is straight fire.

After all these years, this song still makes my whole body tingle. So much atmosphere.

It's unbelievable that this song is almost 25 years old. The underlying menace and the way they build tension throughout the track is unparalleled.

This album was the anthem of the 90s for so many people here in the UK. Massive Attack and Portishead are national treasures here.

As a Bristolian I had the great pleasure to see Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky all live in concert. Amazing studio artists and great live too.

to me, as a metal head, in my late teens, and being exclusive and not tolerant of any other type of music at that period in my life, when I first heard this, it just made me shut up. And I loved this whole album. Also, that first "breaking the intolerance barrier", helped me become way better musician later in life... that whole album is a masterpiece

Maynard James Keenan once said that he felt bands like Massive Attack were the future of music. I love love love this album.

One of those rare songs that bends genres and infects anyone no matter your musical preference. It's tribal and it speaks to your soul.

First time I saw Massive Attack live was on 98’ Mezzanine European Album tour in Graz, Austria. They played in an ice hockey hall and performed an extended version of the whole album from A to Z plus a few older songs at the end.

I don't give a shit if anyone disagrees with me but to me, this is the best produced song of all time. Plain and simple.

Meanest bass line you can hear live. Unforgettable experience... It bangs on the walls and beat your guts. One of the greatest "WTF" feelings I ever had in a concert.

I love how they use the lyric "neutralise" at the same time that they throw everything away they've brought in up to that point. Genius.

Seeing you react to Massive Attack is almost giving the same buzz I got when I first listened to them in the early 90s.

Being from Bristol trip hop and Massive Attack and Portishead provided the sound of the City in 1990's. They are excellent live too so worth a reaction to them live.

This is the last track I expected to see on this channel - one of the greatest albums of all time, never mind trip hop. A seminal masterpiece. Excited for this new chapter you guys are starting! Unfinished Sympathy, one of their earlier tracks is incredible. Still sounds futuristic over 30 years after it's release.

This shit actually has dynamics, which is what is really missing from a lot of modern music IMO.

This song is a master class on how to build tension in a song to an absolute climax and then back to the quiet brooding tension. The official music video adds so much to the experience as well and its very worth checking it out if you havent seen it
