Mahito is the leader of the disaster curses group in Jujutsu Kaisen and one of the best villains in the series. He was masterfully written out of the story at the end of the Shibuya Incident arc in the manga. However I think that Mahito still has a role to play in the story and in this video I'll discuss what that is and why it's possible/likely.

What’s really scary is that neither Mahito nor his cursed technique were at their maximum efficiency yet. Just far enough along in their development for Kenjaku to get what he wanted out of them. Imagine the explosive growth of mahito if he was allowed to participate in the culling games. He’d be well on his way to becoming the modern day equivalent to sukuna
EXACTLY!! You get it!! Like you gotta realize that if Kenjaku said that the ability stops growing once he acquires it, and he was able to use it on the barriers to remotely transfigure people in Japan, then that means that Mahito should’ve been able to do that too, he just didn’t know it yet. Which is super scary to think about 😳😳
@@ShinyNumber1 and according to special grade there is domain expansion and maximum output technique mahito didnt show that and mahito didnt know about binding vow he has lot of room to grow he learn in just 5 months lol

And even had the mentality of Sukuna as well
Mahito would have made it to the highest tier this series had to offer

Idk why people think idle transfiguration didn't work on yuji just because of sukuna. Due to sharing a body with sukuna yuji was unconsciously aware of the shape of his soul and maintaining it which negged idle transfiguration. Now domain expansion was all sukuna
I miss Mahito so much, I hope he comes back somehow
I feel that, for now we get to see Sukuna shine in the current chapters though so that makes up for it

I hope JJK does get a part 2 and that Mahito will be the next Sukuna because he definitely has that potential to become as strong if not stronger. Seeing him reach his full potential would be awesome

Now that I watched this video I wonder if there was a user of idle transfiguration back in sukuna's time. That would explain why kenjaku knew what to do with mahito CT once he absorved him, and would also kinda of explain sukuna's apperance. This is probably just my head-canon. Gege really put me in a rabbit hole since 212 lol
YUPPP SAME!! There’s so much potential in where this all could go. Not just from a story perspective but also a world building perspective. This is a really exciting yet scary time to be a JJK fan 😁😁
Hatred between people is as old as humanity itself, so there might have been another iteration of the "Human Curse" in the past.
Thing is mahito would still be a better user for it since curses bodies work different than humans and he can regenerate naturally 😮

I haven't watched the video yet,but i need to say this, and i haven't read the story since the culling games started..
From the moment i saw Mahito i wanted him to be the last villain of the series..over Sukuna and Kenjaku..
Sukuna and Kenjaku were hyped up to be the end goal of the series from the beginning.They are all-powerful curses from past ages .
They don't really have that much of a connection, grudge against Yuji as Mahito has/had.
Mahito's pontetial is unlimited, his power increases at an astonishing rate.
He has something personal against Yuji, and Yuji against him.
Mahito also seems more evil than Sukuna and Kenjaku. He brings that primal fear, body horror,cosmic horror aspect to the story.
I know he's been absorbed by Kenjaku, or at least his powers..From the moment i saw that i was disappointed..but maybe, just maybe , he can do what the older Toguro brother did in Yuyu Hakusho..He was eaten for his powers, but over the following weeks, months he started torturing the host, he started taking control, and in the end he came back.
It would be phenomenal from my point of view.
Edit: So it seems some things happened since then..
Sad that Mahito is truly dead. When he comes back, he won' have the memories of his previous life..I was way off the mark..
Yeah it was definitely a bit disappointing. However if he does return he could definitely serve as that stepping stone for Yuji, so I’m still holding out some hope in the back of my mind.

I hope we at least get all the big fights even if some r jus quick 1 sided beat downs I wanna see yuta vs Kenjacku, kashimo vs sukuna or yuta vs sukuna and or gojo vs kenjacku I feel like sukuna gonna destroy kashimo jus to show how ridiculously op sukuna realli is and since yuta spared ryu I hope we get to see him fight again mayb team up wit yuta

Very much agree on all fronts! It’s Sukuna’s time to shine rn with the whole Megumi thing, the bath, Yorozu fight, Kashimo fight etc. If Mahito ever does come back, it should be like 3-5 chapters max!
Maybe even allow Yuta to copy the technique after Yuji stomps Mahito post power up 👀 I’m just spitballing here lol

He’s not dead so he can’t come back. The only way he’d come back is if ken dies or let’s him out of his body
The maximum uzumaki is like a curse spirit suicide attack, when you use it the curse spirit dies and in return kenjaku/geto can gain the curse spirits curse Technique if the curse spirit is grade 1 or stronger so mahito is confirmed dead, but there’s still a chance for him to revive, honestly the speech that yuji gave mahito is kinda foreshadowing mahito will return, especially since naoya returned and he was the break through character for maki to become even stronger
Maximum Uzumaki kills the cursed Spirit.
He will return like nayuta in chainsaw man 😂
Yeah, both of the series have a sort of similar theme that the “villains” are created out of human emotions and thus as long as humanity exists, so will devils/curses

Jogo said that they were going to be reborn someday.

Me and my friend have a theory that Japan isnt actually the only place with a concentration of CE:

We’ve only ever seen the US government in ignorance of CE, but even then, the US’s economic giants arguably have more power than the government, so it could very well be that the government is in the dark while the US’s jujutsu society is backed by corporation(s).
I like your way of thinking! Personally I think that older countries have more chance of having (hidden/unknown) jujutsu sorcerers. Miguel's tribe of sorcerers from Kenya wove the black rope and the Ganesha looking curse that Kenjaku uses most likely came from India (or somewhere in that region). USA has only really existed for ~400 years. Meanwhile the peak of jujutsu was a thousand years ago, and even before that jujutsu already existed. Like the reincarnated player Dhruv from sendai. It was said that he won the civil war of wa, which in real life happened only a mere 180 years after the birth of Christ if you match the documented timelines.
When you put all that into perspective I don't think it's strange that "modern" countries don't have any sorcerers or sorcerer families/tribes that are left over from way back when.
