after enabling the WDS bridge i dont see my airtel wifi showing in survey. should i do any changes in my airtel route before do these steps that you suggested
make sure that your wifi signals are not hidden.
In DIGISOL DG-BG4100N router, Under Network>wlan, wds is there but there is no option to scan available SSID. And showing Mac address and comment tabs when enabled. What's the next step ? Can this model be used as a wireless repeater ?

I able to connect my TPLINK WR841N via WDS bridging to my main router, but once i power off and power it on again then I unable to connect this (WR841N) router? How to resolve this issue. Please help.

@josev1388 Sorry, I just saw the thread is pretty old, but the same goes for your devices.
You're doing it just right, although make sure that the ZyXEL device has a wireless channel set up as static (select one from the dropdown list), not Auto.
That's because when you setup TL-WR1043ND on the same wireless channel as ZyXEL to build the WDS, everything's OK for the moment.
But when the ZyXEL for some reason (power cut off, reboot, internal algorithm) changes the wireless channel your WDS is not working anymore.
The TL-WR1043ND static IP should be in the same subnet as the ZyXEL's - for example if ZyXEL is with 192.168.1.1, then set TL-WR1043ND IP to be with 192.168.1.254.
Thus TL-WR1043ND IP will be outside the ZyXEL's DHCP range (shorten its range if needed).

Speed depends on lot of factors like, signals, internet bandwidth and router itself.
If it is a range issue, then make repeater using wire.
Vikas ji, plz tell can we use c6 or c7 or c8 as wireless repeater too?

I have configure the same. Thanks for the pro tip to enable WDS option. But how to test old/slave router? I put my old/slave router at ground floor. Master/new router is at 1st floor. When I go to ground floor and connect device signal strength is too low and WiFi drop frequently. Pls suggest.

It depends on the capacity of your secondary router.
For me it gives about 30 Mbps on this single band router.

it's not working for me I am using Dlink DIR 825 as my primary router and Tenda W311R+ as the repeater, whenever disabling the DHCP server in the Tenda router it's showing an Unidentified network. Also, i am using static IP in my primary router. kindly help.
