Bit confused here mate. You had setting on AD valve at 2, got a low reading of 1.5 (too low), so adjusted AD valve to 3, then got reading of 4.5 (too high) - how did you get back down to 2.5 reading by going to setting 1 on AD valve ? I'm stumped
Paul Minnaar Fair comment mate. There is a bit of discontinuity in this video and I can see how it can be confusing. The long story short on this is that the idea suction to drive the MX8 properly is 2.5 as read on the flow valve. In the event that you only have a single speed pump, you can use the AD Valve to help adjust your suction to get close to the 2.5 reading. If you have a variable speed pump you can adjust the speed of the pump and then use the AD Valve to further fine tune the suction to get to 2.5. I hope this helps. When mine is in use it can sometimes get a loop in the hose that the MX8 can't pull out. This is a problem because I have to twist the hose to get it working over the whole pool again. Any suggestions ?
+Lee Wood Thanks for the question. If there is too much hose in the pool this could cause the twist you describe. To ensure you have the proper amount of hose in the pool follow these steps: Connect one of the standard hose to the skimmer box Vac plate. Continue adding lengths of standard hose sections until you reach the furthest point of the pool, opposite to the skimmer box. Install the leader hose section (the hose with the float attached) to the end of the hose assembly. +ZodiacAustralia Thanks for your answer. I have had a bit of a play with it, and found that if I remove the hose float it works better. I think because it's now heavier and gets a better grip on the pool.
Can u post a how to video on them?
To whom it may concern:
I would like to know why when the robot MX8 climbs up the walls it falls back wheels up. Why is that? It walks well otherwise.
