20:55 Did the grenade going off on your paratroopers cause a bug where their retreat gets cancelled? I noticed you retreated them but just after a grenade went off killing 2 soldiers, then they stopped retreating.

Hans counts himself too pro for this. If I remeber correctly, he told that "Assigning numbers to your troops lowers your micro skills"

Why no one upgrades the anti tank rifle for penal squad?
It is effective against light vehicle and the charge equals to one anti tank gun round.
Coz the AT rifles decrease anti-infantry DPS, since they only fire when standing, and they fire slower than the standard penal SVTs.
Not worth the risk. It will damage the tank and minimize its movement. Some more experienced players will sacrifice the tank to cause collateral damage.
BTW U can drop 2x SVTs for ur friend soviet shock troops :P

why do that when he has penals? better to give svts to cons or rear echelons for "cheap penals' spam
Real patriot afaik only soviets can pick up the SVTs, anyone else just gets munitions

the Dshk is 250 manpower, 'cause it needs a crew, too :^)
3 conscripts and 3 weapon crew is 17x3 and 18x3 +125 = 230 total cheapest mg in the game and easily best for cost.

Patch makes it a 6 man browning so that 50 munis buys you a lot of manpower. This commander had a boatload of good muni options but that's a strength not a weakness.
@@CtrlAltRetreat exactly because of the boatload of ammo sinks the cost is balanced. Regular DshK is 300 MP. This 230mp + 50 ammo. It only seems like not much, but it is, since the drop can delay for example 100 ammo DP upgrade for Paras, rocket strafe, crate drop etc.
The price is balanced imo.

"pseudo-airborne"... they dont parachute, they dont flank.. they just walk through like they own the place. They may have the name, they may have the ability to call-in CAS but for me is hard to consider them paratroopers. Thats a shame but its accurate as they were mostly used as "foot" infantry :/
The answe provided by the devs themselves. They just failed to make proper parachute animation. It was very glitchy and they decided to just make this unit a standard call in + ability to summone them from empty building.
Luckly, they have the history on their side and this thing is actually possible. I'm just glad that the game got smth new that we can enjoy.
@@HappyAspid OKW has some Fallschirmjäger who jumps...so animation is inside.
