LS Benchtop Wiring Harness LS Swap Engine Management Systems DIY VATS Removal

Thank you TH-camrs!! This is the #100 video we have made...Hope you enjoy! Part 1: Having an engine test run stand is a great idea, however the key word is "run". In order to get an LS engine to run on a stand or anywhere else means the pcm needs to be tweaked to start and run (unless you go carb). So if you only have one pcm to delete the VATS from, you could just contact any number of "tuners" in your area to perform this task...usually at a cost of $100-200. IF you have more than 1 pcm to work on then maybe you should consider a way to do this yourself and save a ton of Benjamins! In fact, you could easily build this test harness for LESS than it cost to pay someone else to delete the VATS from your pcm.
Don't let it intimidate you, try it! In this Part 1 video I show how I built an LS benchtop harness and test it. Part 2 will be using my pc and some free sites to delete my VATS and more. I would still recommend a professional tune before running on the street, but you can do this basic work to allow you to test run your engine.

What is the red thing u have over the power supply wiring in the black box ? Because the one u have on the listing has a green adaptor with a plus/negative adaptor for wires .

I see what you are looking at..it is a trailer wire splice connector. I removed the metal splice inside. I used it to snap on the cord so it would provide a “stop” so the cord could not be pulled out further creating stress on the internal connections. It is not splicing anything, just the plastic part as a stop.
