I saw this movie when I was a little kid before I ever saw the first one and this was my favorite Western growing up. I'll still watch them both when I see them on TV.
Funny how it looks like the prisoners in the pit are fighting for screen time.They could have given the old mans lines to Bon jovi,just to have a little speaking part because he did deliver one helluva soundtrack.
Emilio's performance as the Kid in both of these pictures is truly one of the most shamefully underrated character performances of the 1980s. The supporting actors all do a good job, but it is impossible to take your eyes of Estevez when he is onscreen... which is most of the film!
@Philip Marlowe yes he explicitly mentioned the other characters. I don't know what that's supposed to even mean, but Estevez is clearly the star of this show. LDP and Sutherland are wonderful, of course. That doesn't change what he said about Emilio being the best. He's right.

Bon Jovi almost shot Bob Olinger first, but Bob Olinger shot Bon Jovi first with his double barrel, and Bon Jovi flipped back into the pit.
Great movie but bullets won't go very far when thrown into a fire. It takes a gun barrel to make a bullet fly. I'm sure anyone watching this knows that but thought I'd point it out anyway. Don't try this at home by the way. I'd hate to be proved wrong by some stupid millennial.

You should share em. I read an awesome account from a farm hand that worked for chisum, if memory serves me right. The farm hand said the cook pointed out that the men that rode into give a hand were Billy and gang. He said Billy had eyes that never stopped looking around and clothes were cheap. They ended up running off another group of men (cattle rustlers) I wish I could find it to copy and paste. Puts you right there.
Fun fact at 4:03 the scream that outlaw makes while jumping out of the way of the wagon is actually the scream that James brown makes in the beginning of the song I feel good.
