The energon cube with a wave through it is to indicate it's not completely full of energon liquid much like when we saw Decepticons drinking from energon cubes in the g1 show.
I love this set and hope that they do more. While I really liked Brunt I had yet to pick him up so this pack was perfect for me! The accessory set is fantastic my only complaint is the flat grey plastic and the lack of any accessories for Wheeljack as he of anyone really needed some extra accessories.
TheGhostRydr give him siege ratchets wrench if you have him
That Cliffjumper gun looks generic enough for Wheeljack.

In the original g1 show there's a scene of Megatron and sound wave drinking energon so that's why one of them is sculpted different

DLC for toys ? Interesting idea. This seems like a must buy for anyone with ER Optimus -roller, and axe complete the mini MP feel. (IMO Roller should have come with ER prime.)
I was expecting Roller to be released as a weaponizer of sort

Perhaps the odd energon cube is trying to resemble it being half empty?
(so you could recreate megatron drinking from the energon cube in the original G1 show.)

12:50 It's an energon cube in the process of being filled, that's what the wave in the middle is. The other cube is completely full.
I feel like this accessory set would have made Earthrise Optimus a bit more worthwhile (especially since he needs Roller, the gun, the axe, and maybe the jetpack are needed to make the trailer a little less weak), but I guess giving a repaint based on an obscure robot works.
So you're saying that the acessory pack should have just been a set by itself?

I was expecting Roller to be released as a weaponizer of some sort, maybe inspired to his IDW incarnation, that's why I thought they didn't include him in the base Optimus set. But considering that the Centurion Drone didn't cost too much more compared to a regular deluxe figure, it's not a big deal. The weapon pack with a deluxe, generic weaponizer is surely a nice deal.

if you chek the TFWiki page for the centurion droid from the IDW comic you can find a trivia that say the do look likes a Cylon

The Centurion Drone looks awesome. I honestly prefer this paint job over the Siege Brunt version.
-Roller, energon axe, and bigger ion blaster are awesome. The full and half empty energon cube looks neato.
-Energon mace, Megatron gun, and Soundwave cassette deck are awesome too. Ravage cage is cool.
-Sure the weapons that are unpainted should have been painted, like the Shockwave gun. But they still look cool. The unpainted Reflector camera, I like. Makes it easier to use for Refraktor, Scrapface, and the Reconnaissance team. As if it was painted purple, it would limit it's use to only Refraktor and not the other two.
Am i the only one that thinks the unpainted shockwave makes it look like galactic man which in turn would make the shockwave holding shockwave animation error be only a color issue instead of a logic one

The energon cube with the wave in the middle is to convey that its half full/filling up with energon like in g1. Edit : I still wish the ion blaster was just a lil smaller, if it was 3/4 of what it is now it'd be perfect.
The accessories look amazing! Optimus' ion cannon looks maybe a bit large but it looks a lot better than the one that came with the figure. Everything else is pretty much perfect imo

The funny thing about the Centurion Drone though is that Brunt's botmode was actually based on the Centurion Drone's IDW Stormbringer comic book appearance. So, he has more claim Brunt's botmode than Brunt does. But the alt mode of course is directly based on Trypticons G1 tank drone accessory.

other than that, what other accessories we could get on a pack like that? almost all the SS figures already have their accessories. All the weapons that Optimus could use are already available on the DotM leader one.
what we're missing so far are:
-shield for Sentinel Prime
-rust gun for Sentinel Prime
-mace for Grimlock
-gun and fusion cannon for '07 Megatron
but I don't think we're missing much more. Maybe, similar to the gun of this set, a sword for Sentinel that doesn't transform. And maybe a Matrix of Leadership and an Allspark cube.
another accessory we could get, but we still have to see if it won't be with the figure, is the The Fallen's staff.

It was announced from a Fan First Friday event a while ago. This was up for preorder for quite some time, it sold out after like a month or 2. So, really the fault is yours if you missed out

NOT ALL of us live on the internet, hanging to hear every nugget Hasbro drops... NOT ALL of us are able to catch the fans first Friday stuff either... So REALLY, it's Hasbro's fault for 1) NOT making this more widely known, 2) for NOT producing enough for everyone who'd be interested, and 3) for making it YET ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE to track down.
Also, even I found out about it only a week or 2 after it was put up for pre-order and the damn things were ALREADY SOLD OUT... This guy, and a good bit of this gear is army builder type stuff, so HASBRO SHOULD KNOW better than that.
Don't blame other fans for Hasbro's F**k ups...

Gen Selects Deluxe Centurion Drone would make an amazing addition to any Battlestar Galactica collection. Someone at Hasbro clearly thought the same thing, since this guy doesn't have an Autobot or a Decepticon symbol. Nice work, guys!
The energeon cubes are references to that episode where the dcepticons get drunk off of energeon.

A blast effects accessory pack would be nice too.
I actually would be more likely to pick this up than actual Brunt. Brunt is neat and all, but this version of him looks great as weapons for other transformers, and his lack of insignia makes him really great for just blending into a collection as bonus stuff. Plus, I'm a big fan of the classic grey robot with a single red visor. Makes him look like a Cylon or something.
I really wanted to get this when I saw it for pre-order, click and it's sold out. Damn Hasbro needs to work on their site!

the Centurion drone/droid came from IDW & is actually the original version that led to the Brunt figure (basically, Centurion came before Brunt, since Brunt was a part of Trypticon )

In earlier pictures I thought it looked too big but in the shot in this review I think it looks great. Really imposing and it's the right size for the stock to actually rest against his shoulder.

The energon cube is intended to look like its partially empty. From one angle it is kind of frosted giving off the appearance that it is not full, or it is being drank or what not.
The main highlight of this set are definitely the accessories, but it’s cool that you get an extra figure along with it

I’m okay with parts forming when it comes to figures like Ironworks and Airwaves, cause they turn into bases and stuff, but when they turn into just vehicles, that’s where it affects how much I want the figure, like with this fig

@@TheVileOne They are starting to become bandai, in which if you want to get a variant of a suit, you have to buy it through p-bandai, which is expensive.
@@Bobert2020 I certainly like the options of getting some new cool variants and accessories like this on Hasbro Pulse or what have you. However, I'm also sort of annoyed that the new WfC line of figures has cut down on the amount of accessories. But yeah, I recall Bandai Japan would have those web exclusive for the Super Sentai Figuarts line and they'd be really expensive and harder to find.

Whelp I was on the fence about this for a while, but after this video I bit the bullet and bought a sealed one for $150 on ebay. I do agree that reflector and shockwave should have been painted, but overall this set has too much to miss out on. And thank you for the warning about Megatron's mace, its tidbits like that make subbing your channel super important to me. Thank you for all the content, and keep up posted on future releases.

Personally I think the energon cube with the beem going through the middle is there to make it look like it's damaged/cracked

I’d love accessory packs like this with WFC and Studio series. That’d be amazing! A couple of pillars for Sentinel, face gun and a seed for lockdown, shotgun for Optimus, hand gun for Sound wave. Maybe even interchangeable heads further down if this is a future line.
Nice weapon pack. But When are you going too preview the other 2 pack from earthrise (ironhide & prowl) ??
I know people will fight me about this but I think that the energon axe should be rubber so the hand can be fully covered and a flexible rubber for megatron mace

The irony is, earthrise megatron still transformers into a tank, not a gun.
@Lord Mahaveer Maldonado Nah, G1 cartoon mode superior by a mile m8. Also, Earthrise meg is just a heavy retool of the siege meg, and mass transfer technology is WAY more sUPerIOr
If anyone is looking to spruce this set up, I can highly recommend a Molotow Liquid Chrome paint pen. Takes a little practice to get the hang of, and once something's been painted, you have to let it "dry" for three to seven days. But the end result is a beautifully chromed effect.

I just recently started collecting. Are they going to sell this again? It seems they've done it twice already.
Does the figure itself hold together better? Because the original one I have barely holds it's arms together. And the peg on calf is too small.

The energon cube with the line going through it is a half full energon cube. More or less another G1 cartoon callback. Pretty much a cube holding a pink liquid that Cybertronians drink
It will be sweet if the maze moves like a rubber wire but I get Hasbro to not expand the cost

I think the centurion drone looks really good. That's more of why I would buy it since I like to think its another cybertronian that looks like brunt. Not to mention I'm going to eed lots of backroundcahracters for my army.
I think that weaponizer would look good combined with siege Megatron. And I wouldn't have minded if roller was gray instead of blue.
If I remember correctly, this set went out of stock a few days after it went up, and now scalpers are selling it for 2-3x the price. I’m never going to find this T_T

I think when hasbro does ss 86 megatron they should have him be a tank or they could do something similar to seige shockwave and make him a “space ship” and pack him with the gun mode megatron in this pack
Small Optimus is unpainted because he’s dead like in the movie that’s why he’s gray
