ok, you'll prolly never read this but anyway. I used to play the cello when i was 10 for 3 years but I quit due to lazyness. However I love your covers so much and last week i had the urge to play on a cello again and therefore I rented myself a cello and played for the first time after 5 years. Well I played quite shitty but thats not the point. You especially the cello guy (sorry beautiful piano woman) inspired me soo much and I just wanna say thank you. maybe I will be able to play those wonderful songs someday :)
I've just started playing cello after 30 years on flute, and NO cello experience. You can do it!!! Go find a good teacher, and keep being encouraged by this awesome duo!

Im not a cellist but im a violinist but I still hope my response helps, anyways my teacher told me that the more you practice you start remembering/training your fingers and it trains them where to put your fingers :) you'll start noticing that you wont even have to look at your fingers a lot while playing meaning you're learning where to put your fingers.
Yes, I play Viola. But Cellist allways amaze me. How many hand positions there they have and still every time play exactly in tune. How you can every time spot exactly the milimeter while doing a 20-30cm shift.

The first time I heard you guys was the beautiful Coldplay cover Yellow. One of my favorite songs already and when I heard your version I sobbed like a baby.
