SUBJECT: Our New Album
Congratulations on the excellent job you have been doing lately.
The group is having a greater public response in the last few
months than ever before. Ronnie has been highly complimented
on his arrangements of our newer songs and Dewey’s sincere
heartfelt delivery has reached so many of our friends. Ricky
has created a lot of talk with his lead guitar playing on "TH
Fly Away' . Vaughn has proven himself an excellent addition to
the group singing first tenor and playing the piano. Rossell is
doing a fine job driving the bus and keeping up our equipment.
Again. I say congratulations. I’m proud of each of you.
I want to remind you that we are recording an album Friday night
at 8:00 p.m. at Sonora Studios. I can not emphasize too much
that we want this to be our best album yet. The songs Ronnie
has selected range from old time hymns to the latest in quartet
music. The material is there if we only apply ourselves. Vaughn
and Ricky have hired a bass man and a drummer to increase our
depth musically. I believe we can truly have a great album.
Lastly, let us come to the session with an attitude that we are
putting on tape a contribution to our work for the Lord. The ef-
fects of this "message in song'J on the hearts of our listeners
is the foremost purpose of recording this "The New Sounds Of
The Scenic Land Quartet".
