The last video of 2018!! Happy New Years everyone, be safe!!
Thank you so much Jason, same to you!
One tip....always patch both sides of a repair. Doing only 1 side can allow dirt, moisture, or debris in to loosen the patch.
Good job. I have one extra tip for you though. Something I’ve learned is to always round the edges of the piece of patch tarp your using. This helps prevent corners peeling off.
Cool! Thanks for sharing!
I do the same method to patch my tarps. Something I learn is to use bricks or something heavy to press the patch while is drying. Patches have lasted longer since I use that method
Nice
Patch done right! When I patch a hole or rip on a tarp I do that procedure but, just to be sure, I do it on BOTH sides!
Great video , enjoyed it. Happy New Years. Stay safe
Good job Brian...Happy New Years to you and your family

Lol, I hate patching but it’s just one of those things. Thank you and same to you Charles!
Driven Trucking I agree I hate it too lol
Thanks. Good vid
Thanks for the video on tarps, the company I was leased to broke my heart when I changed from flatbed to rgn 4 axles, they took my tarps away, paid me for the tarps. Pull toy told you so.
That’s a bummer 🤪
That was cool man I didn't know how that was done I have seen it before though
👍🏻 It’s one of those boring menial tasks but it does so much
Could you add "vinyl" to the title? I got here looking for canvas tarp repair. I'm ready to sew something I think. 😂
Thx for the video, and I have questions:
Is it common practice for company drivers to repair their own tarps? And if so, should I be asking for compensation for repairing THEIR equipment? 🤔
I suppose what really got me thinking about this was taking my tarp in for a repair estimate and was told they'd do both tarps for $300 😳 Mind you, my tarps weren't in very bad shape, had a couple of 6inch tears, but everything else was just tiny holes here and there.
I went ahead since the company reimbursed me for it, but if they're willing to pay a shop $300, should I really be expected to do it myself at no cost to them? 🤨
Id put a piece of flat smooth wood underneath ( if possible) to enable the glue to spread smooth and even
Thumps up.
Thanks for the video, what you do in wet condition?
The kit cost me more than the actual tarp 😂😅🤣 Tarp cost $33 I got Walmart rubber cement and might try that. But need tape or tarp material I guess
round the corners GOOF
Would something like Lepage Heavy Duty Contact cement work instead of HH-66?
The patch kit is 40 bucks. A 16 X 20 tarp is 34 bucks at Menards. You are repairing huge tarps, extreme duty. Thanks
when you are repairing shelter logic temporary shed, you will discover that you are repairing 300$ cover with 10$ glue and patch.
what brand of glue you are using
Don’t do Facebook thanks for the video hope you a happy New Years as well
Me either lol, I should probably start 😂 happy New Years
Good guide, but please clarify - this is a PVC tarp, and the glue you use is (a type of) PVC cement?
Have you ever tried welding rather than gluing?
Sand then clean with alcohol.
You melt the patch on with the heat gun the glues never seem to ti last
I have a tarp made out of Swiss cheese. thank you.
Did you do flats before you went to Mercer?
I did but only for a couple of months so I don’t even consider it experience
👍😎👍
👍🏻👊🏻
