@Fletcher Peyton I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
TIm your presentations are something I really look forward to, thank you very much in taking the time and putting together this library of tutorial. You Rock!!!
(17:29) I'm watching you generate all the different views in a drawing from your part and I'm like "WHAT, THIS IS SO EASY, WHY DID MY LECTURER MAKE US LEARN AUTOCAD, URGH". Great tutorial, btw.
Hi Tim, Thank you very much for all the vids you posted, it's really helped me allot to better understand SolidWorks. A big thank you and keep up the great work! Regards, Dave
Tim, you are a very talented teacher. From not knowing anything at all about SW, I've learned so much from your videos, that I now can make some complex drawings, that I didn't even know could be made. Greetings from Denmark. PS, love your accent - are you from Scotland or Ireland?
Hi Tim, your videos are great and I am following them to teach myself how to use Solidworks. Do you have the complete video of lesson 6, it cuts off just before you begin to dimension the part?
I have search and search and can't find how to get the dimensions on a diameter to show how his does in the video. They always show a line from both sides of a diameter and not just with a single arrow/line from the edge. When there's multiple diameters it becomes difficult to tell which measurement is which circle. Any help is greatly appreciated.
+Matthew Barlow - when you are creating the dimension, simply drag/move it around until it changes to the single leader - usually, when pulling to the side if you go up or down it will change style.
@Alex Pichkorsky -- THANKS! For anyone else having trouble with their leader lines, goto TOOLS (menu) > OPTIONS > DOCUMENT PROPERTIES (tab) and set OVERALL DRAFTING STANDARD to "ANSI".
