- An #AODD (Air Operated Double Diaphragm) pump is a type of positive displacement #pump that uses compressed air as the power source to move the diaphragms back and forth, causing the fluid to be pumped. The #working #principle of an AODD pump can be summarised as follows:
Air is supplied to one side of the pump, which pushes the diaphragm in that direction, compressing the fluid on that side.
As the diaphragm moves, it creates a vacuum on the other side of the pump, drawing fluid into the pump.
As the compressed air is released, it moves the diaphragm back in the other direction, forcing the fluid out of the pump through the discharge port.
The cycle then repeats itself, with the diaphragm moving back and forth, creating suction and discharge strokes.
