One of the best setups I have seen. Father started this game in the 60s.has since quit. Hope to fix one of the internationals and have it going some day. Great video.
Spent many hay seasons with that view from the cab of a JD 359 from a JD 2650, 2140 or DB 996. There was some quality hay made this year for sure but not as much silage.
Another great video Gerry. Lovely to see the conventional sq baler in action! John deere one would have been a rare site around here twas old Mfs, Jones and Welgers. The welgers were a very fast machine if l recall correctly. Ye'll prob bring them off the flat. Great having the sleigh and the flat8grab
Well gerry i do make little sqaures bales of straw every year about 7 to 8 thounsandth of them stacked by hand into 21 stacks drawn in with a grab and put into the shed with another grab
Lovely baling there! Our jd baler is a bit temperamental. Too much grass and she throws the shear bolt out, not enough and we get bananas! Hopefully I'm out with it on Sunday, then mowing more grass on Monday!
Niall Dempsey not an issue. Balers like then since purchased in 2002 and mower since 2007..... both have done lot work and never a hiccup. Both shaft covers are in perfect condition
When it comes to pto safety ,I urge to cut no corners. Trust me I know from first hand experience. We just leave all with the local guy ,and he fits all covers and chains. Cut the cheque and that's it. Seen a tanker this year with no p t o. Seems to work with a hydraulic pump. Not sure all tractors could run it but it's a good step.
And long may it last! Rain is never too far away in this country and after the winter we've just came through and the winter 15/16, we deserve it!! Twas 76 since we got a spell like it. 95 was good too. That's a long time waiting. We'll be old men before we see it again

Great video, what a very nice outfit!
Love the 2850 we had one best tractor ever made
Small thing but pto cover is turning at tractor end and it was turning on the mower too.

i doubt it should be turning, it needs to be tied to tractor with light chain for full safety
