But unless he learns from this and makes wildly different decisions next time around, the trust is never coming back. Hopefully seeing Kim rise to the occasion in his place, and watching his squad go on to wreck shop in the postseason without him there will drive it all home. The worst thing that could happen is he gets caught in a cycle of getting hit with more PED violations & suspensions, failing to take full responsibility, and eventually fading into obscurity as "that guy who was really good but no team will touch because of his history."

But He should be a dh coming back because our defense looks great. Hopefully he can mature ina big way and heal up!
I actually think that the hate towards Tatis is a bit much. His personality is not that far off from what Machado was 10 years ago, but Machado grew up. Remember how much people hated on 20 year old Kobe? No one hated on 35 year old Kobe. As for the Clostebol thing. From the little I have read about Clostebol, in the doses Tatis was taking it probably had very minimal impact on his level of performance. The ring worm story is actually also quite plausible. I think more likely, however, that he was taking it to get over his injury sooner. This isn't HGH we are talking about. Tatis' head hasn't doubled in size. MLB's policy on steroids should really be looked at again. If you are injured and there is a product that will safely get you healthy faster, then there are enough doctors in MLB, that they can properly supervise someone during a recovery. Taking clostebol during an injury recovery isn't going to let you hit 60 bombs the next year. This story has been overblown, and I am not and never have been a fan of Tatis. There are far greater villains in the world though.
First off, great video - so well done. It's so true that Americans love a good redemption story, and what else can San Diego do but to find the best ways to support him and protect their investment: look forward, not backwards. I hope my favorite team, Pittsburgh Pirates, are paying attention and educate themselves on how to protect their investment, O'Neill Cruz, who will become not only the face of the team but the face of MLB.
Here's the deal, what's more likely? A guy gets an anabolic steroid to treat ringworm and has no idea it's on the banned substance list even though it's his job. Or: Professional athlete takes an anabolic steroid to directly be better at his job.
Of course y’all r gonna embrace him. I mean, 90% of y’all just became “fans” of the padres just a few years ago. Bandwagons need more than steroids to make them dislike a player.
That guy that narrator had it all wrong he's obviously not from San Diego the fact is we all love that TatisJr. Yeah did we get mad at him, absolutely we're pissed but just like family you don't hate them just because you're pissed at them. Did you hear all those stats his home runs, his Ops, his stolen bases, he is the most exciting man in baseball today! We are all truly excited for his return I don't know one person in San Diego that hates him never heard that at all. And as far as him and Manny Machado we love the fact that Manny Machado tore into him that they got in the argument as a matter of fact Manny Machado has a history of dogging it and some of us weren't sure about him but once we saw that, that solidified his position he's a true leader of San Diego Padres, he is a true blue... better said a true brown and gold Padre! But there was never ever and indecisive decision to be made or split between Manny Machado versus tattoos Jr that was brotherly love and we all know it f*** that guy he is not from San Diego he doesn't understand us. Let's go PADRES!
Will he be as good when he isn't taking steroids? His decisions have been poor. His attitude was toxic to the team. The team chemistry is so much better without him. I am not sure him coming back to the Padres will be a good thing. I guess time will tell.
Personally I don't think he's gonna have a hard time winning back Padres fans. That team is loaded and he's gonna be a big part of it moving forward. I think non-padres fans might use the PEDS against him like they did against Arod but Padres fans will have him back, especially if they win in the postseason
I don't think Tatis has "turned the entire fanbase against him". I think we are disappointed. But whatever happened with PED, we hope he has learned a very tough lesson and will come back strong.
Guys… let me just let you in on a little secret. In all of SPORTS, not just baseball, almost every top athlete is taking a “designer” steroid that are drugs made in labs funded by some very rich people, for the sole purpose to continuously stay ahead of drug tests so top athletes in all sports can use them. Baseball, basketball, soccer, fighting/boxing, biking, swimming, track, you name it, all have something in common that the athlete can highly benefit from by using these drugs, and that’s longevity and recovery. Some use different stuff for other effects to go along with it, but to demonize anyone in sports for taking anything is ridiculous and if you’re gonna be mad at anyone, call out the actual problem. These doctors and rich guys that make this shit WANT the media and people to blame the athletes so they continue to make money.
Sports fans always seem to accept their favorite home team players regardless of what rules they break. Barry Bonds, Kobe Bryant, etc. If they are a superstar they can pretty much do anything short of homicide and their fan base will still embrace them.

Uhh no, the most controversial suspension/ban in my opinion was Trevor Baeur's. Absolutely ridiculous. Tatis was straight forward. His departure didn't hurt me much. The amount of errors he makes on field.
lol...Padres fan here. What's to be upset about? It's not like theDodgers won't simply reload the roster and be back in the thick of it next season, as they ALWAYS do. I'd be disappointed too, I suppose, but that team of yours is always at the top of the league, year in and year out.
Hey if Padre fans don't like or want him, I'll take him in Toronto any day of the week! lol Couldn't care less about the suspension. Love the player and his passion/skill.
No one with a working brain thinks that. The Padres were building a team around this clown. He knew what he was doing and got caught. He was the MLB poster child when it should have always been Mike Trout like Buster Posey before him. Tatis jr is a joke!
I was at CBP when the Padres and the Phils played middle of summer 2021. Tatis won over every phillies fan there me included, he went to the left and right field corners and signed autographs for an hour and a half before the game. Made sure pretty much every kid there got something of theirs signed. Even after the news came out about this, I couldn't force myself to dislike the guy after seeing what I saw from him. There was even a tatis lookalike at the game like 20 rows in front of me (left field short wall.) Hair grown and dyed just like Tatis plus he had the uniform and sunglasses on. Great time that day.
Padres fans actually believe him. He made a mistake and was not trying to cheat in any way. We don't give a shit what the rest of the jealous fanbases and drama driving TH-cam queens think. Tatis will lead the league in OPS in 2023. Deal with it.
At 9:50 he is asked 'when was the accident?' to which he responds 'which one?' He does not imply that there were two motorcycle accidents; just that there were two accidents and at least one of them were motorcycle related. Though, he did mention that it happened 'while they were filming' implying that perhaps they weren't filming the entire time when there was another accident as well.
Nobody I know is against Tatis. We're all exasperated with events, but I don't think anyone blames Tatis. This video assumes a lot. Probably a Dodger fan.
If you listen to his defense on the matter, it’s actually really believable. Baseball doesn’t exist. Has a really good video explaining that. On the flipside I understand where you’re coming from.
Im so mad he ruined his reputation cuz he was EXACTLY what baseball and the padres needed, an electrifying star with a skill and swagger nearly unmatched in the game, i knew people with no interest in baseball who knew who he was and its been ages for that in baseball, maybe he can fix his rep cuz hes obviously still an amazing player but man fernando, broke my heart.

If that bothers you you wouldn’t be able to watch and other sport and that’s why you watch baseball but now it’s getting my phased out so soon you’ll have nothing if you’re that sensitive over sone strutting and chest pumping. You say it like he idk charged the mound and beat up the pitcher or threw at someone’s head on purpose and caused a bench clearing. But oh wait that’s the stuff y’all are okay with. 😂 backwards thinking definitely.
Signing a 14 year deal after one full season is a prime example why there should be an international draft.
What? He played in the minor leagues still, it’s not like he signed the contract without moving through the minors and proving himself every step of the way. He got paid after he put in the work, not before it
Great vid & breakdown of Tatisgate. As a Pads fan, I'm beyond psyched to see the dude back on the field again next season.
Yeah. I love Kim. He’s awesome. I’ve always felt if he got the opportunity that he would be successful. I love what they are doing without Tatis. Go Padres!!!! #LFGSD
LFGSD
He's batting .333 in your "Worst Things That Can Happen" category!
What a dumb motherfuc&er he is. I've got smarter garden tools.
You forgive him but not the Astros? Hmmm
Tatis Jr most likely took whatever he was taking, to help speed his recovery, in order to get back on the field. The upside of all of this, Is that Tatis Jr hasn't won anything. Therefor no Championship ring can be discredited. This dude is too talented to need enhancements. As a Padres fan, it was a huge bummer not to have him this season. Hopefully he's learned from these situations and is ready to get going with Machado, and Soto. Which is what San Diego is waiting for. Nothing but love for Tatis Jr.
Makes sense
Just stick an asterisk next to all his stats to date 😂
He’s definitely off the juice and not cycling it now 😂
“The dude is too talented to need enhancements”. They said the same thing about ARod and Manny
Nah, WE STILL LOVE HIM.
Y’all tripping if you think padres fans don’t want this guy out there for us. Even still
seriously people make such a big deal about ped’s, it’s really not that big of a deal at all.
@@oohellyaa08 Every known user of PED was refused entrance into the hall of fame, all their stats are considered fake, they get banned for 80+ games... you may not think it's a big deal, but clearly the association does, and their opinion is the one that matters. And technically speaking, this is literally cheating, which in any other sport is the worst thing you can do, I would say baseball is doing the right thing to frown upon cheating.

To be fair, riding a motorcycle in DR is like the main method of transportation in his hometown of San Pedro de Macorís and accidents are a fairly common occurrence. Doesn’t mean that they’re always serious so that’s probably why Tatis couldn’t remember which one. Lol
To be fair, you pay him then.
@@AntiWarTexan Unless his contract specifically stated he wasn’t allowed to ride motorcycle taxis in DR, then sucks for the Padres. Not to mention the fact that it all happened during the lockout when he wasn’t even allowed to communicate with the team. Guess the Padres are stuck. 😂
To be fair, Tatis needs to pull his head out of his ass, then pull his ass out of San Pedro de Macorís. My dog knows better and he doesn't have 243,000,000 reasons. What an asshole. To be fair.
@@showtime951 Nice take bro. Im sure you would never ever return to your hometown just to please some dipshit fans. I don’t condone him taking PEDs but damn dude. 🤣🤣
I seriously salute anyone that still watches baseball.
The BEST recommendation from my YT in a long time. This was perfect. I stand subbed with tha bell.
I live in San Diego and despite what the media says at least 10 of my closest friends have not "Turned" on Fernando. We can't wait for him to get back. We realize he's young and made a mistake. This playoff run has reduced his suspension by a lot of games as well. Yawn. Moving on.
Nope as a padres fan , we still love tatis and it’s gone take some time for everyone who doesn’t love him to love him again but that’s alright we’re here for it
I doubt he’ll ever mess up again after having to watch his team play in the NLCS from his couch.
Lol this fool ain't gonna learn shit
And then not making it to the big dance because of the continuous gaping hole all season: offense. Melvin's choices and overall pitching wasn't perfect, but plug Tatis' bat instead of Myers/Grisham and better things will happen. They need him to win a ring.
My twins were born at 430 am 8/12/2022. I was so happy that pads got soto, my babies were born healthy and that tatis was a hop and a skip away from coming back. Then on the drive home to take care of animals I herd this news from coach John Kantera and I was on the phone the whole way home with family about this. What a bummer on an amazing day.
If tatis was trained for the public eye, i cannot imagine what he’d naturally be like without his training
I don’t know if there is a Padre fan out there that is against Tatis. He might get booed in opposing ballparks but that’s about it
they would boo him if he was on their team i bet
Life long Padres fan here. We will be elated when we see Tatis back rocking the gold and brown. LFG Padres!
He’s going to get booed so bad when he comes back. You could say he messed up and deserves it but I still feel bad for him.
He plays in San Diego, not one of those douchey cities like New York or Philly. He won't get booed at home.
No, I’ve talked to a lot of fellow pads fans here in San Diego and they are all day dreaming (myself included) of watching Tatis hot with Manny and Soto.
@@GoofysHatBand only half the games are in SD tho. the other half are on the road. OP never said he's going to get booed in SD, just that he will be booed, and he's not wrong.
@@notleeland he's always been booed. Especially in LA. They don't like Dominicans there. Case in point; they boo Machado and Soto there too.
@@GoofysHatBand dude, what? It’s not that they’re Dominicans, that has nothing to do with it. It’s that machado has always been known as a dirty player, there’s a lot of fans across the league that don’t like him. Soto was already a bit unlikeable, and now he’s a padre so it’s even worse for fans of the NL West because the rest of the west really doesn’t like the padres or their fans
As a padres fan. I think the whole club really stepped up in his place and showed what they were really worth. I think tatis needs to grow up still and earn his spot back in the bullpen. Don’t get me wrong id be happy for him to come back, but tatis needs to learn that level of discipline his teammates put themselves through.
Put him in as a reliever I’d love to see him in the bullpen
Lol
Wtf are you talking about putting him back in the bullpen? Do you watch baseball?
I love how everyone is all Pure 😂 let him come back to the SD and perform ,no one is gonna care about what he did.

AS A PADRES FAN, THIS IS CAP. 🧢. WE LOVE TATIS AND CANT WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON.
As a Padres fan, I wish I could believe Tatis's story, but he needs to grow up
Getting into an accident in the off-season didn’t help
Taking PEDs to recover from injury quicker could be forgiven, taking PEDs and owning it could be forgiven, what I wouldn’t forgive is the gaslighting of the fan base by him and his father and “mentors”. They denied, and lied and tried to die on that sword and play the victim. It wasn’t until they realized the fan base and the organization isn’t stupid that they tried to take accountability and even then they still stuck to the skin cream excuses.
If I were a padres fan I’d be all in on Soto. Far better face of a franchise.
That’s what PEDs are for, recovering faster. Working hard with it without PEDs is a must to be successful
Lmaoo No
As a Padres fan this video is spot on. This guy had Junior Seau type of love from SD as well as Tony Gwynn.
Do yourself a favor and never mention his name in the same sentence as Tony Gwynn Sr. (if that's what you did) again.
Hey man, love the content, could you do “Good MLB pitcher’s worst outing?”
You are crazy....we don't hate Tatis! We love him and can't wait for him to play again!!!
Thousands still wear his jersy to every game . . .
Sorry just a slight note - “wunderkind” is a German loan-word and, even in English, is pronounced “VOON-der-kindt” with the last syllable sounding like the word “kin” rather than “kind”.
This is actually the first time I’ve ever heard a real adult human seriously pronounce it as “wonder-kind” and not mean it as a joke!
If he still performs to the same level he'll be welcomed back with open arms.
There’s a good chance he’ll struggle and then go back to his magic ingredients, get caught again, be a what if story on TH-cam
Which Fanbase turned against him 😂
Dude’s still one of my favs and I can’t wait for him to return!
How about now?
@@showtime951 what has changed?!
I can’t wait for him to return.
His offence might have given the Padres the edge against the Phillies.
Happy the Padres went deep, because it means Tatis Jr can return SOONER 🥳
Great video! Love the second-person point of view. Really made it stand out.
Cant believe after everything this teams done without that headache, were still making videos talking about how he will be welcomed back. What a slap in the face to the team and to Kim personally imo. Kims completely taken a role that another player was too immature to play couldnt do, hes shown to be a great SS great teammate and fans love him. Kim is a TEAM ballplayer, not a solo hollywood look at me look at me act. Lets Go Padres, Lets GO Kim!!
Kim's not all that great with the bat tho. he's ok, but Tatis led the league in HRs in 2021 with a .292 BA and 97 RBIs.
@@notleeland tatis should come back as DH or 1B, keep Kim at SS.
I can't imagine a situation where Kim isn't the starting SS going forward. They will find a spot for Tatis but Kim at SS provides so much defensive value that they'd have to be braindead to put Tatis back there... Then again it is the Padres so anything in possible I guess.
He took ped’s while out rehabbing. He obviously was trying to jump start his return and didn’t think he’d get caught. Has nothing to do with ringworm. He’s an mlb player and knows exactly what he took
Man you passed on the oppurtunity to say the Friar faithful and kept saying the padres faithful
Great video. He needs to be held accountable. He pissed everyone’s trust away. And his teammates let him know they were pissed.
I mean we are upset with him like he’s our kid. We’re disappointed in him but we aren’t throwing him away by any means. He gave me some of the best most exciting moments I’ve ever watched as padre fan. And that was just in regular season games. We basically feel how manny felt when he yelled at him last season. I’m paraphrasing but it’s basically like “ you’re the best player in the world stop acting stupid” he really is both stupid and the best player in the world . He’s gonna be back! But He should be a dh coming back because our defense looks great. Hopefully he can mature ina big way and heal up!
If manny wasnt there we would prob be 3B
Or: Professional athlete takes an anabolic steroid to directly be better at his job.
a very fluid and nice way to end the video 🔥
Padres fan here. Maybe a small percentage of fans want him off the team but nowhere near the entire fanbase. Next year should be pretty fun.
Of course y’all r gonna embrace him. I mean, 90% of y’all just became “fans” of the padres just a few years ago. Bandwagons need more than steroids to make them dislike a player.
I think this was super well thought out. But he does have to gain back his teammates. FAns will love him. But totally agree that he needs to grow up
That guy that narrator had it all wrong he's obviously not from San Diego the fact is we all love that TatisJr.
WRONG WRONG WRONG I’m an SD lyfer, can’t wait for him to come back. Also astros cheated, their fan base seems to embrace them
Will he be as good when he isn't taking steroids? His decisions have been poor. His attitude was toxic to the team. The team chemistry is so much better without him. I am not sure him coming back to the Padres will be a good thing. I guess time will tell.
@@econ0003 he wasn’t injecting himself with anabolic steroids like the 2000s, he took a cream that is banned. Ur rite tho, he can be a toxic teammate

Remember how much SF supported Barry Bonds until he retired?
He never got caught in a test though.
@@easyenetwork2023 you’re right…Bonds never cheated
Padres will be scary with the addition of Soto Hader and Tatis next year
Personally I don't think he's gonna have a hard time winning back Padres fans.
But he don’t care because he got his bag so the PEDs were worth it
Guys… let me just let you in on a little secret.
I’m a San Diego native born & raised & nobody in SD give AF about Tatis using PED’s & he’ll be welcomed back with open arms. We’re just glad to be relevant for once. And TBH: the Padres are doing just fine with out him. Soto, Bell, Kim, Machado, Musgrove, Hader etc are holding down the fort. GAME 3 NLCS! GO PADRES!!! 🤎💛🤜🏾🤛🏾 #beatla #beatphillie #worldseries #sandiegopadres #padres #gopadres
SD fan born and raised. We aren't turned against him one bit (Minus the knee-jerk reactions), just disappointed in his immaturity. He will be welcomed back with open arms.
As a Padres fan, we have NOT turned against him.
As a baseball fan, I am frustrated and disappointed in Tatis, but something tells me that he is going to be a very bad man when he comes back…
Uhh no, the most controversial suspension/ban in my opinion was Trevor Baeur's. Absolutely ridiculous. Tatis was straight forward. His departure didn't hurt me much. The amount of errors he makes on field.
"And for those that aren't Padres fans, let's put ourselves in their shoes." I'm a Dodgers fan sir, I have enough to be upset about
lol...Padres fan here. What's to be upset about? It's not like theDodgers won't simply reload the roster and be back in the thick of it next season, as they ALWAYS do.
I'd be disappointed too, I suppose, but that team of yours is always at the top of the league, year in and year out.
@@dmmino Exactly why I’m upset. They always do well, and then do nothing with it. The strategy used this year was terrible.
If youve never been to the dominican, everyone drives a motorcycle. There are alot of areas inaccessible by car. Everyone is on a bike there.
Hey if Padre fans don't like or want him, I'll take him in Toronto any day of the week! lol Couldn't care less about the suspension. Love the player and his passion/skill.
If you think Tatis is only player using steriods you are not living in reality.
No one with a working brain thinks that. The Padres were building a team around this clown. He knew what he was doing and got caught. He was the MLB poster child when it should have always been Mike Trout like Buster Posey before him. Tatis jr is a joke!
Motorcycle riding and taking steroids should be written into any 14 year contract as an out clause for the owner
Great job bro👏 good video
If I was a pro athlete I would weary about anything ending with -bol or -ol
At 9:50 he is asked 'when was the accident?' to which he responds 'which one?'
He does not imply that there were two motorcycle accidents; just that there were two accidents and at least one of them were motorcycle related.
You have Manny all wrong. Especially after this season. It's Mannys team now and Tatis is only going to make the team better when he gets back.
The first walk off home run will win back a lot of love from fans
lifelong Friars fan here; i’m upset he wasn’t there for this run but i’m ready for him to get back on the field.
Baseball fans are fickle and after a couple homers all will be forgiven and the thought of Tatis, Soto, Machado, etc everyday will cause amnesia
If you listen to his defense on the matter, it’s actually really believable. Baseball doesn’t exist. Has a really good video explaining that. On the flipside I understand where you’re coming from.
this is one way for those commercials to stop playing over and over
Lifelong Padre and San Diegan here, fanbase is absolutely rallying behind Tatis. Can’t wait for him to come back.
Die hard Padres fan. Aside from Mr. Gwynn, Tatis is the best Padre ever. Hes a kid who made a a couple mistakes. First the crash and nit reporting it, then i believe he was so frustrated with it, that he took steroids in hopes of healing faster. Only problem i got with him is the bullshit excuse. Just admit your mistake and lets move on. But as long as he is a Padre, i will root for him
im still gonna support this man till the end 💯🤎💛
im sorry but this video is absolutely moronic, San Diego fans still love him and are very excited for his return, we do not hate him and we still love him
Yeah, it seems more of a 'dissapointed dad' vibe but they still want him back and want him to succeed.
He should move to center field tho

2) Do you think that will affect team morale and unity? How many chances do you get at a World Championship in your lifetime? And your chances of winning are greatly reduced because of a teammate's dumbass!
My dear friend, Nolan Ryan, I believe pitched in the Major Leagues for 30 years. From memory, I think he pitched in one World Series INNING in relief in his 4th year in the league for the Mets in 1969.
