- I'm so excited to present this piece to you today! It marks my first cover from Final Fantasy IV. Get out your tissues because this melody is so emotional! Mixed with a little nostalgia, this theme might move you to tears :) I hope you enjoy! And I'm off on vacation in about 5 minutes- for the next 4 weeks! FFIV broke a massive barrier in video games because it made me genuinely care about story and characters in this medium like I never knew I could and like nothing before it. This game will always be one of my all time favorites.

Final Fantasy IV... In many ways, it was the true originator of RPGs as they exist today. It also has some of my all-time favourite pieces from Nobuo Uematsu -- this one included. I can still remember hearing this in-game as a kid. Even at that age, somehow I still understood the emotional relevance. FFIV had the audacity, the courage to place you, not in the role of the familiar hero, but of the villain. This music plays as you, and your love, reflect on the atrocities you committed in your king's name. How dare they bring real potent emotional complexity to a game played by children!😅
That game still brings back some awesome memories for me. Thank you for the lovely walk down Memory Lane.
Nate Broadus I think there's a reason they brought the franchise back to the west with the fourth iteration and I think you nailed it. IV is the game where they really hit their stride and came up with the formula that is still winning hearts and awards today. There may have been rpgs before it by IV really set the bar for storytelling, atmosphere and many other things JRPGs are known for.
I didn't play FF4. My first FF was actually 7. I really wish they would remake 4. I would love to play it or at least port it to the Switch.
FFVI without a doubt taught us all who were kids so many emotions... I'm grateful I grew up at just the right time for this to affect me at just the right time. Thank youaa

This song will always have a special place in my heart. FF IV was my first in the final fantasy series. It may have only been a year ago, but I vividly remember the first scene with Cecil and Rosa with this song in the background. I stopped playing for ten minutes just to enjoy the song. This is a great arrangement with great execution!
One of Nobuo Uematsu's best songs. You were wonderful. You managed to pass all the delicacy and feeling that this song has.
You will really know the pain just from the melody. Best to play this when you're in pain.

My all time favorite theme in any FF. This evokes strong feelings and memories, in particular of a specific person. Definitely brings out the tears.

Very well done rendition of this song. I always remember back in the old SNES days timing the dialogue so the crescendo came during Cecil's expression of disgust for his lost honor during the tower meeting. Always felt that fit best. Ah, what a bout of nostalgia.

The Piano Opera is a goldmine of splendid Final Fantasy piano arrangements! So are the original Piano Collections for each series. It's such a treat to go through them, learn them, and perform them.
