    people are so amazed by what is essentially a raspberry Pi with a couple servos and switches attached. This is literally a weekend project to make those mods, which is probably why they are being so secretive about it, so they can sell it at a huge markup.

What was he like 15 at the time. he was liked by viewers for the show so discovery channel started funding a larger operation. if you remember right the first season he had his grandpas mine he made no money. so how did he afford all this new equipment? millions of dollars of equipment? its cause the show invested in him to help boost ratings and viewership. its no uncommon i mean damn look at the first season with the hoffmans. there was like 8 guys on their crew they dug up no gold and yet somehow the mine stayed afloat haha. the only reason parker is where hes at is because of discovery channel. Hey im not knocking him for it either it was a break he was given and im glad to see he took full advantage of it.

    the big problem in alaska yukon is making sure the pay dirt is thawed completely before putting it into the wash plant and that is a challenging problem with a floater style plant. they did it in the old days in the yukon/alaska but it will take a team of people that will have to specialize in thawing the ground ahead of the working floater plant that is always working ground that is underwater and very cold water. they could use the cold water thawing points method that have high pressure cold water injected in to a chisel point thawing as you rotate it down in to the frozen gravels but it is a longterm type operation a full season ahead of the floater dredge that would excavate and process the hopefully thawed material but it is a tough expensive slow job. this is why the miners in the yukon/alaska work like they do as it is proven and a set up can be moved to better locations easier if need be than other methods. there have been floaters up there for 40 plus years that work well in certain situations only. i got to see 87 pup mined by tony as i had staked that ground around 1994 when it was forfeited by the regional mining recorder but i never recorded it as after inspecting the area as it was too big a undertaking for us back then. it looked like he got some results out of it🤗

    It's like a dredge but not a dredge.
    It has the inner workings of a dredge but not able to self load.
    That being said, I believe something like that would work well on dredging ground.
    Maybe Parker should sell the idea to Tony Beets as he has run dredges in the past

      Well not really cause even Parker has had claims that at times produce really good numbers per yard an terrible ones as well you never know what you could have an who could see it. Some places have claim jumpers or try shut you down so they can access your claim why you can’t be there operating. Pretty much saving his company by not showing that an wasn’t keen to put Parker in touch with the builder of that dredge was happy to sell it an only had it 6 months either having to many problems or not on good ground then to transport it to another claim somewhere probably easier to sell it and have them pay for that build another one or go a different way

      It wouldn't survive a day in the Yukon. The minute they got it back to the job site, they'd be ordering 6 or 7 new parts within the first week. Shipping and handling alone would put them further into the red that they already are and at that point you might as well sell it for scrap.

    Good to hear Fred Lewis is gone, him and his kid wanted to be movie stars. I have been a faithful fan of the show enjoyed watching Parker grow up and accomplished the things he’s done most of Parker crew are or seem to be good hard working people. Freddy and Juan are still my favorite personalities around the gold rush groups.

      I have heard nothing about season 14 and what is going on there, but when you say Fred Lewis is gone than that's good to hear because it was always a pain in the ass to watch them, because they only talk big day in day out but don't know a sh*t about they are doing and then Buzz Lego always drunk or high with his rotten teeth, was all just terrible to watch. Just wannabe miners with no clue, working with trash machinery on land that has no gold or their washplant is just loosing 80% of it. Could you tell me maybe where Parker is mining in season 14? Because Indian River is done and Fairbanks Alaska didn't look very well for future operations, just completely different landscape. In Germany I will have to wait till April until they show it.

    • @excitedbox5705

      water is 800x as dense as air so there is much more heat transfer. You probably wouldn't need to heat the water to thaw the permafrost. The water would simply get a little colder, as long as the air stays above freezing the thermal mass will take care of it.

      The purpose of being in a pond is to have its own water for sluicing instead of pumping it all over. So you run a strip, drain it, check for gravel pockets, reflood it. Any pay pockets, dump the gravel by the sluice and then refloat it, scoop it up.

    I just got home from my work week at a very large coal mine in Australia
    They run autonomous trucks there
    All i can say with that with that amount of technology you’re going to need a tech on site 24/7 learn BOBO very quickly.
    Im in technology and the complexity of a modern col mine is ridiculously large
    I think the kiss principle works best

    Two aluminum screws under rig for land and floating...pump salt water in front where digging...the moving water will stop the prob with salt water not melting pay dirt because of still salt water not melting and fresh water freezing

    Maybe the holes with permafrost could be flooded with your retaining ponds to melt the permafrost and use that floating plant.

      Maybe at some point you could also float the excavator.

    Great machine. the only subject that is never spoken about is what they do to rehabilitate the environment and how they treat the water so it doesnt destroy the river and freshwater system

    • @ephraker
      @ephraker ปีที่แล้ว

      They do talk about it, just not very often. It is called reclamation and it is part of the permitting process. I agree that they should show more of the restorative process.

    • @danieldismukes4972
      @danieldismukes4972 ปีที่แล้ว

      There really is a difficult permitting process as well as a reclamation plan in place plus bonding, and someone mentioned rock and gravel, on most placer claims on BLM ground you cannot sell common aggregate, it has to be a special type of claim on certain deposits, or you can lease material on state lands such as school sections

    Fewer people, no haul trucks, less of a mine foot print, less equipment to maintain, reclamation as you are mining. Perfect system

      Think TV decided to call wireless by "Bluetooth", but who knows. Bluetooth isn't exactly known for it's long range and high throughput, but it is certainly used in industrial systems.
