(1439) Review: Law Lock Picks "Increment Pro Plus"

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 25 พ.ย. 2024
- This is my review of the new "Increment Pro Plus" lock pick kit from Law Lock Picks, located in the UK and owned by Andy Law, a long term LockSport member. Last September Andy produced his first commercial lock pick kit, the "CTR", which I reviewed ( • (1363) Review: Law Loc... ). Andy obviously paid attention to our comments because virtually EVERYTHING we asked for is included in the Increment Pro.

Despite the complainers, please don't stop reviewing/critiquing the cases for pick sets, Bill. While the case doesn't pick the lock, it is one of the most important factors in the field use of a kit! If a case can't hold up, picks can fall out, get mixed up, & time is wasted. The quality & arrangement of a case, is often a deciding factor for professionals, when choosing to spend their hard earned money. The few keyboard warriors that will gripe about certain aspects of your videos, only focus on what they want to see & don't understand that the entire LockLab tribe of over 400,000 people, all benefit from your in-depth reviews in many different ways.
Agree 100% The quality of say the Multipick case is so far above what some of the other kits are that it may well be the deciding factor. If a company cares about the build of their case, then they likely care about the quality of their tools also.
Unlike some, I do enjoy the review of the case that contains the picks. Please don't stop reviewing the cases.
Thanks for another great review Bill. Thanks to the community for the feedback that helped put this kit together. Please visits Law Lock Tools @ www.lawlocktools.co.uk
Great how the manufacturers take feedback seriously. Sweet kit.👍🏻😎
Loved the comment about your brother-in-law. That the one from west virginia?? Lol
Great looking set of picks and, as always, a great review. Thanks Bill!
Lol. Thanks Bro in law!! Haha
Working on a budget to purchase that exact set.. Impressive.
Looks like a great set going to need to check it out for myself
Very nice set and great review! My very first pick set is in the mail. I am super excited. I have about 20 locks waiting.
Great review Bill, quality picks, and you are right, that case looks awesome! Even for someone like your brother-in-law :-) Especially like the fact they included a knife, wish we saw that more often!
that's a really good set you get all you need and a strong carry case as well what more could you want , i have had a look at law lock tool picks first hand and can not fault them in any way good review Bill
The Rolls of pick kits. Seriously awesome
What a fantastic & well deserved review. “Law lock tool’s” pick sets are fantastic both in design & the amazingly tough 301 high yield stainless steel used for all the picks.
Definitely a set to buy. 👍
Thanks Daz that means a lot mate
Great set, those handles make it quite comfortable, but also a bit heavy/bulky.
But that's just a comment from uncivilized germany where the pins of our locks are built the wrong way and yes, we actually still ride on horses to work :)
Ich denke, Sie wissen, dass ich mich NICHT auf Deutschland bezogen habe. Meine Mutter würde mir niemals vergeben ...
😋
Very nice. Honesty impressed with the kit. I'm not a fan of all metal picks, but this is an exception. Nice review, looking forward to seeing more videos.
Great review of an amazing kit! I have the EDC Pro kit from LawLockTools, and it is absolutely awesome! Pretty much a SPP set to balance out the original CTR kit. The handles and picks are comfortable and really strong! Andy has put a lot of thought and effort into creating his sets and he’s an all round great guy too! 😁🥚
Love this kit Mr. Bill
in the UK the Increment is supposedly "secret" part of the "secret" SAS regiment, I believe the use a big hammer, or 12 gauge Hatton rounds to open doors but nice pick set. and great case
Looking to get started in this past time. Been watching your videos like crazy the last few weeks. Thanks for putting all of this great information out there!
Wow! Nice looking set!
A great review of an equally great looking set!
Very nice picks, Thanks for the review.
Nice looking kit.
It is one great piece of kit to own and work with and if like me you add the tipene range available from law locks they will fit into the case just right
Nice set, thanks for the review.
Very nice piece of kit
Hey bill that is a nice case not to mention a excellent pick set
That’s a nice set!! Gotta get one!!
That looks like a really good set
Thanks for your work. Huge fan from Australia 🇦🇺
nice kit like the handles
For those wanting the coupon code: it is IPRO10 - its 4 letters then 10 at the end...
Great review buddy. 😎
Great looking set of picks awesome pick review Bill and yes i want to win !!!!!!!
In my main kit I've got some Law Lock picks that I chose from his range of individual items. I have to say that for the price they're incredible quality.
My only negative is that for some of them I went for the plain "Lite" option rather than splurging for the pro version with the handle plates. My thinking was that as the Lite's are usually less than half the price of the Pro's I could use that saving to get twice as many picks, then I'd just use a couple layers of heatshrink to make them comfortable in the hand........ Yeeeeeeah..... Sometimes, With hindsight, I wish I wasn't such a cheap skate. LOL !
The Lite's handles twist slightly more than I'm used to, and I find that this mutes a little bit of the feedback I've got familiar with from learning with my first "Cheap and chunky" pick sets. The Pro's are really nice though, I wish I'd soley gone for them in the first place.
I'm sure I'll be after some more picks from Law in the future.
You want to keep it? Bill, you've got every pick known to man and some unique ones no one else will have. You are the God of lockpick. LOL
Seriously, I'm sure you ordered another kit for yourself. If not, why not?
Another note, sorry about the thumb war loss. Maybe LPL will lend it to you from time to time to showcase your skill with it. Great review as always, thank you!
I know, I know....but they ARE nice picks. I may order a set at some point but it just isn't in the budget right now. Thumb war loss? Did you watch the end?😋
Did you mention the case Bill?🤣
That's a pretty nice pick set and a pretty nice price too. But, you get what you pay for. Have you done a video on extracting broken keys? I have mentioned this a few times to various lock pickers but as yet haven't seen any comeback. I did cut a key and stick it in a padlock to try my extractors like the instructions said.Turned out an epic fail and I had to grind off the rivets to get the key out as it just went further into the lock. After experimenting with the managed to find a system that worked but I have no idea of its the right way.
Thanks for the review Bill, keep em coming!
I personally think they would look cool with a black brushed powder coating or an ability to have a handle option wood or plastic!
Nice kit. Generous of Mr Law to provide a discount as well.
Love them
Great video as always. Still laughing at the brother in law comment.
Nice bill :)
Oeh, i like this one!
another great vid, and published on my birthday so weird..........(hint)(hint) ; )
They’re nice looking picks, but I can already see those spot welds giving away.
No problems with any of the welds as yet. I even tried throwing them like a knife during testing. I damaged the picks of course but the welds held up just fine lol
Late, new to locksport , but didn't see anyone catch his brother-in-law "both ways" joke! 🤪
Nice intro
I've just recently started watching your and lock picking lawyers videos. I've been interested in locks for many years and tinkered with them more than a few times. Disassembling them(the easy part) and trying to reassemble them properly to get them to work again (with some, but not as much luck as I like). I'm fascinated, in how just not to defeat them, but more so, how to make them so you can't. What is your opinion on the best set of starter picks, and other tools I might need. I am retired so, I'm looking for the best bang for the buck for me to start. I do want a quality product and don't mind paying for it. Your recommendations please.
There is no "right" answer for this, as much of it depends on personal preferences... Still, I'd recommend starting with any of these: Southord PXS-14, Sparrows Tuxedo, or if you want to spend a little more, the UKBumpkeys Praxis kit. All are high quality and range in price from about $30 to $50.
Awesome
Not a bad kit, but alotta unnecessary picks in the kit, also very highly priced $157, $170 !! 😮😯😲 seems like those prices are beyond the average lock pickers reach; dont forget, the shipping cost is probably another $15 - $20. Theres probably about 5 - 8 picks worth having outta that kit. The tension wrenches are a great assortment. Glad to see TOK in the in the kit
With the bottom of Keyway tensioners, when you say “thickness”, do they actually differ in thickness; or just width? As in are they actually thicker, or just wider?
Thanks!
Great picks for feel, but I notice that they are flimsy for me.
Does the shape effect the picking or does that come down to personal taste?
As a beginner in locksport, am I beter of with straight ones?
It is 100% personal preference. If just starting out I’d recommend you buy a single pick from different manufacturers to decide what handle type & shape you like, THEN invest in a kit of 0.25” thickness. As a new picker you want the thicker material until you develop some feel & finesse. Thinner picks will break more easily if you are accidentally rough with them.
Pffffff I think you should pick your next Abus in it's original "barbaric" (german) position.......pins to the bottom 😜
(Now you really deserve a challenge lock which can't be picked in the "civilized" position/pins to the bottom are neat/😜)😅
Nice set but I'm not finding his link anywhere, unless it's the Lock Pick Shop?
Never mind, finally found it, @Law Lock Tools ltd.
@@AThreeDogNight My website is www.lawlocktools.co.uk thanks
@@andy123law, Yes thank you much Andy.
Sorry, my bad. I put it in the Description.
@@bosnianbill, Yeah that threw me off because it takes you to the laws about lock picking, LOL!!!! I know I'm getting old & blind but dang after looking with & without my glasses I thought, well that's it, I can't see. LOL!!!!!!!
All apologies to my UK friends, we *are* just joking.
Of COURSE! 😀 Otherwise the next time I visit friends in the UK I'd be sleeping in the shed or in the yard...
130 lbs.? I wanna buy them, not weigh them, cmon Bill. BTW, is the case nice?
Hey Bill, have a look at this contraption.
th-cam.com/video/cPGGn__t6nU/w-d-xo.html
I would share this with that crazy LockPickingLawyer person but he'd probably whip out the old Ramset and have it loaded up and ready to go 2 minutes into the video.
lol
Maybe I shouldn't share with you either.
You might hop up on a table and get ready to pee on the damned thing to get it open.
:P :P :P
That thing would take me the rest of my life to figure out! AWESOME puzzle.
Some of these countries don't even have a name 😅
Shots fired
Hey Hey Hey, in civilized countries we don't use metric
Maybe because of that your locks are so easy to pick😉 (written while hugging my metric german Zollstock *gg* 😜)😅
@@sven4718 What's super funny about your reply, is that my post was a tongue in cheek jab at nationalism, and yours was sincere in the very same. 😉
Nope. But maybe I played to much on words in my answer to made it clear (and then also mixed up languages to make it work).
But maybe I hoped that the smileys would help to make it clear, too. 😉
@@sven4718 then we can blame it on the 20 odd hours it's been since I woke up for work. 🤝
@@Mr.Beauregarde Well, then you should at least have some fun with LPL newest vid before sleeping and tomorrow comb pick some Abus (Damned, I need 3min plus spp for my 85/50 etc and they are comb pickable😨)
h
Nice looking kit.
