I have owned mercedes and many other cars. In 2001 bought a 2001 AWD xc70. This is the best car I have ever owned or driven. volvos xc70 will out accelrate most cars. the car is very quiet my xc 70 came with touring seats and I can travel for long periods of time in comfort. The xc does as well on ice and snow as on dry roads. Its now 2009 and I have not had a major problem and I have 214000 mile. THESE ARE GREAT CARS
In 2004, I chose between an Audi allroad and a Volvo XC70. chose the Audi. What a mistake. The Audi mechanics got to know me so well they knew how I took my coffee. Five years of pure nightmare. Last week, I saved myself and bought a 2008 (last year's model) Volvo XC70. So far, love it. Night and day. This is the car I wanted back in 2004. Volvo, yes. Audi? Just say s***
Just leased one of these Swedish ***-kickers for my wife and our two Australian Shepherds who will miss their 2004 XC70! I'm proud to be Swedish-American!

We have a 2001 XC70, I'll never own any other car if Ford keeps building XC70s as well as mine. I ahve owned higher end cars but, these cars handle better on ice snow mud and normal rads better than any high end car I have driven or owned. BUY one!
New engine upgrades for 2010!!! Base engine makes 240 hp and 236 pound feet of torque. the turbocharged engine now makes 300hp and a whopping 325 pounds feet of torque!!!!
