This describes the "symptoms" of ADHD which I have, just diagnosed at 57, 7 years ago. Because of my non-diagnosis, I never met my potential due to this. Now, being medicated as well as seeing a therapist, I have finally been able to calm my brain down enough to finally concentrate. I haven't stopped educating myself, first about ADHD, then, about everything I have always been curious about! History, Egypt, Archaeology , WW2, WW1, Hitler, Russia, hate, etc.! It has made me realize I am able to retain so much information, that I do pretty good at Jeopardy! Thankfully, I have always been organized at work, and have proved myself, over and over...but, due to my symptoms, impulsivity, being loud, defensiveness, inability, etc., I never was able to keep a job, although I worked for Union Carbide, Mass General Hospital, numerous small companies. I felt as though my life was wasted, but after finding out about me, I'm ready to start my next chaper!

Research Thom Harthman and ADHD, his hunter farmer theory. I shudder to think of the damage the psychiatric industry has done to ADHD people. it's not a "disorder". it's a personality type and does not belong in their DSM manual. Almost 30 years ago I happened on his writing among a huge compilation of psychiatric opinions and he not only wrote things that agreed with my own conclusions, he took it further.

Book: “The Myth Of Laziness.” Some book titles say it all. Also: “Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway.” So tired of “success gurus” telling me how I “should” be to “succeed.” This is a very good list. I am particularly fond of the “sense of humor” attribute. Makes life so much more interesting. Try to see the humor in everything. People will not always understand you, but ironic humor especially is a fun way of looking at life. My art and writing reflect that. I like to make people smile and laugh, even, sometimes, at my own expense.

Wow! I fit every catagory but 1! Blew my mind since I don't see myself that way. Even if I did I would start trying to regain my humility. It is a spiritual principle and it's also the basis of success in anything you can name. An over blown ego is your worst enemy. It'll eventually cause your fall from whatever status you've reached by your own efforts. Never start thinking that the world can't do without you because we are all dispensable. Put your own health as your #1 priority, do the very best you can to improve your role in keeping your family relationships strong by frequent acts of love! (not words) and never compromise yourself for anyone, dream job, lover and even family if the sacrifice impedes your path to personal growth. Afterall, how else could you ever hope to discover who you really are?????? Blessings 🙌
I'm 68 now. Lately I've been prone to giving speeches out loud that seem to be a culmination of the research I've been studying for ten years while retired.
I still study various subjects regarding the true history of America both politically and economicaly on the daily. I'll be chilling letting my mind ponder over certain aspects and BAM! I felt compelled to stand and I delivered an intelligent, passionate and perfectly articulate speech that didn't exactly feel like me doing it. When I finished it felt good because I was finally able the sum up ten years of study into one single message based on accumulative knowledge spontaneously. I have to say nothing like this happened before and I was actually spooked by it. Whoa

    1 - Check
    2 - Check
3 - Check (Sometimes a bit too critical according to some)
4 - I LOVE humor. But then real humor (as sometimes I get things presented as a joke that were far from funny)
    5 - Define "social".
    6 - Check
7 - Thin? I used to be.... Not that I'm really fat now, but thin.... no
    8 - Check
9 - Define "lazy". When it purely comes to physical exercise, I guess I am, but I can also be a workaholic
10 - Check. People always worried about that. However it was only later that I actually found that that was my way to setting things right in my mind.
10 (two points 10?) - Self control? I'm actually a fearful here. But then again, I've some traumas. When it comes in not acting on impulse in general and think things over.. well, yeah
    11 - Check
12 - I'm not sure if I know how much I don't know, but at least I am not afraid to admit that no matter how much I know, there'll always be more I don't know
    13 - DEFINITELY!
    14 - Highly sensitive
15 - That was a word unfamiliar to me (cut me some slack. My first language is NOT English). But judging by the explanation, I guess.. Check
16 - Yeah, that's true, I am the eldest of the children born from my parents, but I never linked that to intelligence or anything
17 - CHECK!!!! Some music I can sometimes bear (if it's not too loud), but most noises do no work well on me
18 - CHECK!!!! I'm (in)famous for this among the people who know me
19 - I guess I am, but this is a something I can't easily say about myself. Not easily manipulated. Well, it was since 2020 that I was really put to the test on that, and I think I passed it.
20 - Anxious? My first day without stress will be the day the doctor sings my death certificate.
    So that means I'm intelligent?
    If you say so...

In this list, I struggle with only one of these traits and that's impulse control. I get that honestly growing up from 5th grade on, in the country 100 miles East of Dallas Texas. Young men have to be tough , living in the country, playing high school football and are tested in grade school and beyond. I was smaller and had blond hair, the new kid from Dallas. So I was always being measured and bullied. Least of all I need to say that shit don't happen any more. Honestly it would be impulse control and anger. Which very well could be mental health, if I wasn't already aware and practicing living harmoniously since 2007.

I also strongly believe truly intelligent people understand the difference between 'nice' and kindness... Pure altruism, or as close as can be had for me is the apex state of an intelligent, enlightened person.

Perfect match here! Yes, this video certainly confirms my high IQ and reinforces my suspicion, that all my life I have been a highly intelligent, misunderstood guy - however, since the creator donsn't want to share the sources of these claims ("researches and surveys"), I must deeply mistrust. Yes, like many commentators here I'm flattered, but I need sources, otherwise, for me, this falls under the category of misinformation.

So many of these qualities are debatable and open to interpretation. It's a matter of opinion by the one who enumerated the characteristics about how to determine and intelligent person and since we don't fully understand the human brain it's not a certainty. Although interesting 🤔

I forget my family's birthdays and a lot of little things, I am very anti social and spend too much time making TH-cam videos and playing video games, I think my humour is unique since I'm goofy and like both darker and more sillier things, coz I find myself spending all my time now editing videos and playing games after finishing at sixth form, I am seen as lazy by most people even though I call myself creative and I just put my energy elsewhere than a physical job, I am indeed very curious, like to delve into the unknown a lot and ponder the universe, other life forms and to generally geek out on space videos as well as conspiracies. I do ask my fair questions here and there but I'm not all that honest about being dumb about something coz I already feel dumb asf about a lot of things that are kinda common knowledge to most. I am skinny, always have been and yes I do speak to myself all the time and my family picks up on it a lot - they think I'm probably going nuts but hey oh and I would say I get easily distracted in any serious situation - if I was in school I would prefer staring out at the puffy happy blue sky and day dream about things I wanna be and why I shouldnt care about the people around me and their opinions but Ive always seen that as an inflated ego. I also procrastinated so much in school that Im almost certain that ive failed my A levels... like both me and my twin bro would work at lower paces and do things just to LOOK like I was doing something. However, I am not very open minded, I feel that if someone is opposite to me in opinion its usually coz theyre incredibly annoying or generic or that id rather just listen to their opinion so that I wont look as vain since im not all that vain tbf but I dont wanna come off that way at all.🤷‍♂️

What we are actually doing is thinking aloud. However I am the youngest child in my family and have a much higher IQ score than my siblings.
