I’m a stargrinder who has beaten all the levels in this video, and I have to say gooddeath isn’t the hardest 7 star because it got reverted to an easier version. The forums list hasn’t been changed in ages so it doesn’t take that into account. The real hardest harder is either hazy blood by lunarsimg or the three pillars by renato, opinions vary, maybe you could revisit this in the demons video? :)

I often find that 8 and 9 star levels either bridge the gap between Insane to Demon, or are straight up demons because creators build a demon but get scammed by the rating system. I have found so many levels where the creator notes that they requested a demon but got a 9 star, and the level is insanely hard, and they catch flack for it because people think they ultra buffed the level. I also find that a majority of 9 stars are actually harder than a lot of easy demons, so I end up just never playing that difficulty. But its all subjective I guess.
I think 9 stars might feel harder than easy demons because you set your expectations of how little time/attempts it'll take to beat the level higher than when playing a demon

Xmas challenge was rated easy because of the length (the anticheat system only gives you stars over 2* if the level is over 30 seconds, and xmas challenge is 27 seconds long)
You should try out the underrated levels list! It has pretty much every non demon that is harder than it's star rating. There's different tiers of difficulty and you could try some of the tier 5s! Only mentioning this because I noticed levels like Hazy Blood and super mario bros 2d weren't here, which are objectively the hardest of their difficulty
Eric, you should play supersonic v2. It's a 9 star, but it's harder than the original supersonic. I'm not sure if it's harder than Death Machine, but it still is ridiculous for a 9 star.

Id like to suggest levels that are actually harder than the ones you've played: For 2 stars we have 'Double Triple Trial' which many say is harder than Xmas challenge, its also much longer For 3 stars 'Game' is not the hardest, the hardest is either 'Lith Harbor' or a minigame called 'Super Mario Bros 2d' which is not only too hard for 3 stars but also features horrible controls. SMB2d is typically considered harder than Lith Harbor For 4 stars Piano World is decently accurate but it actually has a secret way in the first half which makes the rest of the level free. A better pick would be story madness, which is a memory easy demon with straight fly at the end For 5 and 6 stars you got it right For 7 stars GoodDeath was nerfed ages ago and is not even close to the hardest. Nowadays its a tie between three levels: Hazy Blood, The Three Pillars and Shift. Hazy Blood is a skill based hard demon which pro players dont struggle with, The Three Pillars is a memory level with three bossfights, all amounting to at LEAST high hard demon difficulty. Shift is regarded to be the Top 3 hardest non demon minigames in GD, it has absurd insane demon click patterns scattered throughout the level. For 8 stars Shaken is the hardest, but there is also 'rum n bass', the worst minigame in GD due to the amount of bugs. Rum n bass without the skip is generally regarded as an insane demon. For 9 stars its either Death Machine or Liquid Containers, its always been a battle between those two for the hardest non demon in GD Its a shame you didnt get the list accurate but I must say playing underrated levels has a lot of potential for content, theres so many hidden gems and awesome levels that dont get played because people are disincentivized by the incorrect rating
It's a shame I ninety nine I got deleted because it used to be the undisputed hardest 3 star in the game. I've beaten bloodlust but even so it would still be a real challenge

0:31 It's a 2 star since there was originally a glitch way back in 2013/14 where levels would grant you 127 stars, so RobTop fixed it by allowing tiny/short levels to only get rated 1 or 2 stars.
no, those 127 star levels were hack uploaded and rated by an unknown person. the anticheat is in place to prevent people from instant completing stuff or whatnot
90% of these are old memorization levels 😂 That reminds me, there’s this level called OBMIL prev 2 or something that I found on the recent tab while doing a challenge, it would be pretty funny if you played it :) (no I don’t know the ID)
It's rather unknown, but the hardest auto level, when collecting coins, is Mang Game by Blitzmister. They aren't super difficult to get, but they are quite notable and are around hard demon difficulty. Maybe this could be a future video along with checking out other really hard coins?

Insane 9*. The star rate no matter what ALWAYS predicts the difficulty. It was not only weird as it says easy 9*, but was also said to be the easiest demon in the game, so it was nerfed to a 9*.
I think "Dont Rate This Level" was made to make fun of a lot of levels from its time hence the bad transitions, misspelled lyrics, and random difficulty spikes
Yup. The deco is atrocious, the gameplay is terrible (hell, even the FIRST jump is completely blind and pops out of nowhere), with misspelled lyrics and invisible portals. Krazy really nailed the pre-2.1 feel lol
The reason why it's a 2 star, is because it's short. You see, levels usually don't get ratings if they're short. But in some cases, these levels are rated, and they're rated 2 stars because idk

A lot of creators get mad when their level gets rated 9* instead of demon, and then ultrabuff them and assume RobTop will just make it a demon now.
