This is a beautiful rendition of Neil's 'Hell Yeah' with all the words set below. Thank you for that. The ending with photos of Neil and outstanding stage sets amid his familiar hometown of New York City and the iconic Madison Square Gardens was a fitting tribute to a world renowned fighter of sorts who came from an unknown and struggling past to such a high pinnacle of fame and fortune. He even stays humble to this day. What a remarkable man!
Thanks for your comments Donita. The very reason I selected this rendition over the studio version is because, in my opinion, Neil stepped up yet another level, and tugged at the heartstrings… he touches the soul.
I sought to include images of Neil, his stunning concerts and lovely, loving, devoted Katie from 2008 onwards. He truly is an amazingly unique human being; a superstar in the true sense of the word, all the while maintaining his humanity and self-effacing humility. It's these qualities and his precious gift of song writing combined with his amazing delivery of these gems that so endears him to millions worldwide.
Even touching the souls of those who do not speak or understand the language. Truly a phenomenon.
I remember Neil, in an interview, shortly after the Madison Square Garden concert, relating that one of his daughters, Marjorie, I believe, who attended the concert, wept when he sang this song. After the concert she asked her Dad if he meant what he sang in this song. Neil's response, _"Every word."_ His delivery clearly demonstrates this. One difference I have noted with Neil, from others, is that regardless of how many times he may sing a song, he feels each and every word as he sings them. This is evident in his eyes... truly the windows to his soul.
Yes, Neil is a very special person. I wish all the best!

This song made me cry. I've never heard it before. It's like he was saying good bye, which, I guess he kinda is. I've been a fan for 55 years, and it makes me so happy to see and hear him sing. There will never, ever, be another like him. So humble, so kind, so articulate, sensitive and funny. His songs touch a deep chord in me and, I'm sure, everyone else. I already miss him so much. Thank you for all the posts of his interviews and concerts. During this pandemic, I've been "bingeing" on Neil Diamond. Thank you, Neil, for a lifetime of music, depth, sensitivity, and for being the voice of so many hearts. I will always love you.

Neil Diamond pours so much energy and passion into his songs, and so many of them are biographical and personal and inspirational, aside from the beauty of the music itself. Heard this first while walking the halls of Sitemam Cancer Center after stem cell transplant for salvage treatment…the words of the song struck a cord in my spirit man and caused me to rise up! Hell yeah!

Thank you NDC for this beautiful video of Neil singing this heartening, inspirational song. I guess we can learn something from it. Tenacity, the desire to achieve, determination, the ability to be satisfied with what we have or what is given to us - and things like that, which Neil probably had to learn too in order to move ahead in his own quest for success. 🎼🎶💕 Well, you know me, Doug...i am an early era fan of Neil's. This is the first time I heard him sing this song😌; very deep thoughts and so very poignant! One can't help but cry just hearing him talk about his life and career...although he offers no apologies for sounding so contemplative. It's really endearing for us! We love him more and more.

Off his 12 Songs album (2005), it shows a highly reflective, deep thinker looking back on his life. Despite all the troughs over the past 5 decades, he is able to look back on his life with the benefit of experience but more importantly no regrets. I guess reason why he has, as he put it in the movie The Jazz Singer... _"I've got my own congregation and they love music. They say it makes them feel things, it makes them happy..."_ A totally dedicated and devoted congregation.

Wanted to tell you that Bill was diagnosed with Afib (Atrial Fibrillation) and had to go through cardioversion to establish normal rhythm to heart. Doing OK now!😊 some scary weeks however. Hope you are well. Best wishes, Louise
Sorry to hear about Bill, cause for concern indeed! Glad to know that he is on the mend. Will need to take it easy for a spell, definitely stay away from his ride-on mower. 😉 We are doing well, thanks, hope you are too. With summer pretty much on us, been busy readying the property for the fire season; reducing/removing fuel (dried leaves, etc), creating firebreaks and so on. Then there's the 4-hour watering every second 6:00pm - 10:00pm. 😔 Take care, Doug

Neil Diamond, What can I say?? He is the BEST EVER! I have gone to numerous concerts of his starting in 1972 and the last one in April of 2017 in Salt Lake City. 50th Anniversary of his Hot August Night Tour. One of his BEST! Of course they were ALL phenomenal and breathtaking. If you can’t tell Neil has been my VERY FAVORITE since I first saw him in 1972. Love you Neil and will miss your concerts BUT take care of yourself.

NEIL DIAMOND CENTRAL yes, the concert I saw in 1972 was I believe his first Hot August Night Tour! It was in San Diego, Calif. What can I say, I was hooked!! The only item on my bucket list is to someday meet Neil or just wave to him from across the room. When I saw his concert in SLC in 2017 we stayed at the same hotel and I waited in the lobby just to get a glimpse of him, BUT no luck he went down the back elevator to the parking garage when he left. All the concerts I saw I gathered seven of my friends to go with me! ( NO MEN ALLOWED 😊). I want to wish him well in managing his illness. Doug thank you for answering my comment. I am a True Believer 👍👍
Oh I forgot, I can name his songs in one note! My girlfriends get so jealous cause they want to name it first!! 🤪🤪

Having lived the life, bouquets and brickbats, he made it through... _"... saw it all. he walked the line, but never had to crawl..."_ No regrets... he did it his way and in the process has gifted millions worldwide comfort, solace and happiness.
