Magnum were the Best Band ever!!! Fantastic all round true British Rock band🤘🤘 Seen them countless times from 1980🤘🤘Will be so sadly missed, massive part of my life from 12 years old😔 Rest in Peace Tony Clarkin🙏🙏🤘🤘❤️❤️ And All the Best to Bob and the other band members🙏🙏👍 Thank You for 50 years of phenomenal music👏🫶🤘 You're music will live on in my heart forever🤘🤘❤️❤️❤️❤️God Bless🙏🙏
Hi Robert......hope you're still with us. Saw them at St Albans Civic Centre back in '87. For me this what utube is for. BTW I'm a spring chicken. 65 in a couple of months
Caught this song by fluke in a compilation of songs when i was studying at the university of Birmingham circa early 80. Great song and happy that this song is now on youtube.
Magnum is the most underrated Band in the World !!!! Magnum have on all their Albums one, two or more absolutly unbelievble Dreamable Hard Rock Songs ! for example these Song, Kingdom of Madness from the year 1978 or Great Adventure from 1979 ! What a amazing Band !
i went out with 1 of bob catleys daughters robyn :) was a fear years ago now like hehe. lovely family they are, bob is such a nice guy :) great band too.
As a kid we met an over the hill Brit hippie (at least 21y/o) who liked our 'shrooms; he turned us onto this album. We loved our NWBHM but this rocked.
I just remembered to look for this classic band having lost my vynil to someone long ago. I absolutely LOved this band having gone to see them live at DeMontford Hall in Leicester around 1978-82 about three times in total. I was always scared by the serious man with the beard, and always thought if I laughed, (which I am tend to do if I am exited), then he would hit me. The best bit though was seeing boB Catley's willy through the Spandex trousers, and a little tempting bit of his belly button, sometimes, oh. I always thought if the scary man with the beard ever saw me watching Bob catlEys willy and belly button, he would hit me and tell me no. I was close up.
these guys were waaaaaaay b4 my time and im only 19 XD wish i could have seen em live was brought up by these thanks to my mother and lemme tell you what a band to be brought up with
1st time I saw Magnum, they were supporting Def Leppard who hadn't even released an album. Def Leppard were boo'd off stage and Magnum did 3 encores. Epic night :-)
@Cvet0 I was young back in the 80s and wish I were younger now :-), Magnum are with out question the most under rated band of all time... seen them scores of times, never disapponted , Bob's voice maybe lacks the bounce of youth, but age comes to us all....they are a truly great band.....by bro worked as a roadie at Wolves civic for a time with them....top guys too.....
pretty awesome to be honest. and I've met the lead singer heck even served him a few times since he comes into the shop where I work at. and that is no joke.
I love first 3-4 Magnum albums/ I totally hate from '85 to '90 Magnum albums / I like nowdays Magnum albums...'Kingdom of Madness' will remain their best album...not just poor Aor but Melodic Progressive hard rock at his best...Hope I will see them one day...
A great band indeed, I used to have a chat with Kex Gorin at the end of gigs. A great drummer and a great human being. RIP Kex - I have noticed a slight delay between the video and sound. I have tried to correct the second delay lag. Corrected version th-cam.com/video/AckU-rHAuBA/w-d-xo.html
Harry James, from Thunder, who played on the Brand New Morning album will drum on the new tour. But what is wrong with Jimmy Copley? He is amazing. He has played with Jeff Beck, Status Quo, Paul Rodgers, Tony Iommi, Gleen Hughes, Seal, Ian Gillan... etc. One of rock's absolute best drummers.
@kevseabass Awful record label. Were managed by Polydor in the mid 80's, hired top profile songwriters to work with Tony Clarkin for the album Goodnight L.A in 1990, was to be their big break in America... but never even got released over there due to Polydor problems. So Magnum bought themselves out of their contract because Polydor tried to make them something they were not. Phenomenal band. New album The Visitation comes out next month!!!
Yea, the first one they were at their best, more ambitious and heavier. Storyteller was their last great album, then they went all commercial after that and I stopped listening. Their new records are pretty cool, but I like the first few records much better.
@ddddaaaavvvv Christian rock? Far from it, mate. Magnum are a band that are so diverse, you couldn't possibly define the genre. Hard rock, soft rock, rock art, prog rock, they are all of those genre's fused into one energetic, bombastic sound!
a brilliant band but deff leppard took their place as they were more comercial and make money but magnum were the better band they were both a reading 1980 but they are still the best of the two
I don't even like Storyteller...it's too commercial with poor songwriting in my opinion...their last good album is "the eleventh hour" but nothing compared to 'Kingdom of madness' an underrated and overlooked masterpiece album...than I like something from the '00 to nowdays but no more than 2/3 songs per album...it could all depends if you are a Prog listener or an Aor listener...but I like both kind of music and I rate music firstly by songwriting...

As a kid we met an over the hill Brit hippie (at least 21y/o) who liked our 'shrooms; he turned us onto this album. We loved our NWBHM but this rocked.
