i'm british but lets face it the media and radio are totall idiots to ignore one of the greatest rock bands of modern times..i couldnt get enough of magnum when i was in my 20' and now ive rediscovered them at even now at 38
God, Bob Catley just fucking owns this song! Absolutely amazing vocals! Magnum fucking rules! I usually go for heavier bands like Crimson Glory, Running Wild, Griffin, Medieval Steel, etc, but Magnum just have this magic that makes you keep coming back for more! Magnum have found a place in my personal top ten bands! Cannot get enough of their music! Magnum, you guys are fucking awesome!
Magnum are clearly a band who deserve bigger and better things. I have seen them several times from when they opened for Krokus on their One Vice At a Time tour at the Manchester Apollo in 1982 to the Wings of Heaven tour. Never failed to play a brilliant show. So glad they are still making brilliant albums and touring. Showing all the new crappy bands how real music is made and played live.
This is third video I've watched from this show. I can't believe how true to the studio sound they stay! I love this album. WIsh they would've made it bigger in the USA.

I feel sorry for Magnum. Great band but they never quite made it. Such a shame when you hear run of the mill rock bands getting lucky with one hit. Saw Magnum Leas cliffe hall, Folkestone 10 years ago, Kingdom of Madness was fantastic. Wild Swan is cool, tried to break America but again no luck....

half the modern rock bands today are utter shit, they cant hold a candle to older bands like magnum and maiden/ Queen/ black sabbath/led zepelin/judas priest kizz/motley crue/ wasp/thin lizzie the list is endless i cant possibly name them all here that practically founded rock...these bands songs if you listen them are practically small story's in themselves.modern bands pale into insignificance by comparrison!!
Other than Ronnie Dio, I’d say Eric Adam’s from Manowar. Catley is brilliant. I’d put Freddie Mercury into the mix, but for me Freddie is the greatest ever.
