I live for the morning sleep view on my apple ultra watch. I love it. There is more data available in the health app. Super motivating. Helps tweak your sleep
That’s actually pretty awesome. Would love to see a comparison between your ring and the Apple blood oxygen readings. I appreciate you Nick, I just started my CPAP journey 24 days ago and your channel has been invaluable. Thanks man!
Hey brother, thanks for the kind words. I always love hearing that the channel is making a difference in people lives. When it comes to the O2 levels, currently the watches and other consumer wearable devices have a very low O2 sample rate so you can't really compare them with a pulse oximeter that takes a reading every 4 seconds however i think this will change in the near future! Cheers
Super good for a consumer wearable device that has only been used widely for a few years. Like you said....only going to get better. Good things on the horizon
The way I see it, the Apple Watch is just a nice tool to help with sleep. I’ve found that I been sleeping better with it since it puts my sleep in the front of my mind so I get into better habits
Jason did a vid yesterday with his Legoman buddy on the watch compared to a sleep study. I have found it lines up well with sleephq events and making sure my machines time is regularly kept in sync.
Absolutely! It aligns well with the CPAP respiratory and pressure data and the O2 data from pulse oximeters. It's not perfect but for consumer health tech it's very very good. Cheers
You can access the Sleep Data under the sleep category through the 'Apple Health App'. I also use the SleepHQ iOS app because it's mine haha - apps.apple.com/az/developer/sleephq-pty-ltd/id1645471189
Hey mate found your channel recently as my sleep apnea has been getting worse and will have to start using a mask soon too. Love the content, currently binge watching your vids 😃 Hey got a question RE the apple watch (series 9) vs the oura ring 3rd generation: in this vid you share this super insightful chart, showing that deep sleep is not being tracked properly. How does this compare to the oura ring? My doctor told me that my deep sleep being tracked by the apple watch is far too low ~10-12% per night and that I should get an oura ring instead. What are your thoughts on this and is there a similar chart available somewhere? Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪
Does it provide sleep data in real-time? e.g. if I woke at say 3am, would the watch give me data on my sleep that night, or do I have to wait until morning?
Very interesting video and comparison between Apple Watch sleep tracking to an over the counter sleep tracking medical device! I say that because Apple never promotes the Apple Watch as a medical device
I been tracking my sleep and I’m only clocking about 1hr of deep sleep on my Apple Watch curious to know if it’s incorrectly classifying it or do I have bad sleep?
You said apple watch was the best so I thought there would be a comparison between the Samsung and apple watch, and other sleep tracking devices. Kinda clickbaity title, but at least we know apple sleep tracking is essentially on point.
Try charging the watch late in the day so it will have enough charge to record overnight and still have enough charge to get you through the day. My charger fills up the watch in about 45 minutes or less. I usually charge it before going to sleep.

Please bring this over to Samsung Health/Galaxy watch!
You confirmed that we're on the right track with regard to our developing technology! Thank you for your very relevant research!

I enjoyed watching your sleep diagnostic comparison. Nice work.
Glad to hear it mate. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Your voice is putting me into REM
Haha, i’m going to take that as a compliment but i could be wrong 🫣

Some here!!! I absolutely love it and it's fascinating to see the changes when I'm a 'good healthy boy' vs 'an alcoholic' haha. Cheers

Nice, have my Apple Watch connected now. Any plan on support Whoop data?
Please do the same analysis when the Samsung ring goes on sale
What app are you using on the apple watch to track all the sleep stages?
You can access the Sleep Data under the sleep category through the 'Apple Health App'. I also use the SleepHQ iOS app because it's mine haha - apps.apple.com/az/developer/sleephq-pty-ltd/id1645471189

How does the Apple Watch compare to say the oura ring?
Same question
What is Core? Good or Bad? Thanks
I'm curious if you have done a similar comparison to the new Fitbit Charge 6?
Does it provide sleep data in real-time? e.g. if I woke at say 3am, would the watch give me data on my sleep that night, or do I have to wait until morning?

What watch you wearing ?
Really great informative video! Thank you!
Loving this!
which series has support for those readings?
One thing I find really annoying about Apple is that I can go to bed at 21:00, wake up at 07:00, and Apple will say that I was in bed for 8.5 hours.
Compare a Fitbit to the Apple, and Somfit, AND an Airsense 10 ,"events report"...
I'm going to drop some 'comparison vids' over in the sleephq community shortly. Cheers
Which watch version is it?
I been tracking my sleep and I’m only clocking about 1hr of deep sleep on my Apple Watch curious to know if it’s incorrectly classifying it or do I have bad sleep?
I downloaded ur app but why sign up first 😔
So we can assign the data to an account. It’s a cloud service
@@CPAPReviews oh
How do I set up the Apple Watch sleep app
It’s in the Health app.
th-cam.com/video/i5NTULguqs8/w-d-xo.html
What do you think about reducing those wake (white) periods to zero and that's delivers the result?
Sorry mate, i don't understand the question. Cheers
@@CPAPReviewssorry mate, I meant those wake lines could be reason of tiredness? Or do you think it mistakes of device?
Nicko could you share a company with us?

Ok
My nighttime is charging time for my watch
You miss out on sleep, SPO2 and heart rate by leaving it off for the night
Try charging the watch late in the day so it will have enough charge to record overnight and still have enough charge to get you through the day. My charger fills up the watch in about 45 minutes or less. I usually charge it before going to sleep.
I charge my watch when i jump in the shower in the morning and by the time I'm out and poured a coffee it's ready for the whole day / night
It's labeled wrong.. it shouldn't be wake... It's woke.
Absolutely great video, thank you man!
