The use of air suspension to even out bumps was pretty cool to see. Especially from the outside
mornadu Mercedes introduced it with "magic body control" years ago. I think that the use of air suspension before a crash is even better :D
*audi made a SIMPLER SYSTEM using airbags!!!* not all the other shit! but like all three! Audi BMW and merc but I like Business class and business suits not flashy or to involved and that's what Audi is the happy medium. It's not a Tuxedo and it's not just a Sport Coat and Jeans! It's the Performance/Luxury balance in the right proportions for me.
That's the only way I'm going to be able to see it..Mmfrom the outside :(

Electronic controlled active suspension. High torque electric motors on levers actuate the control arms to regulate the composure of the body. Old technology, but a good one!
The tech in this car is amazing! Love that 3D camera function. Amazing how far technology has come in the auto industry.

TheEryk03 level 3 autonomous driving was announced for the 2018 s class 4 months ago. Audi is just a useless company like electronic arts for games who releases cars with unfinished technology. Mercedes stands for quality and not for releasing unfinished bullshit, just wait for the first victims of audis "autonomous driving" until you realize.

W12 and V8 are special order only on Audi Dealer (EU)
The standard W12 in favour of a future Maybach S650-like model rumored to be named Horch and then we’ll the W12 back again. This car will be strategic in China.
i think this new 2018 audi is a twin turbo w12.. if so its the turbos that quiet down the engine thats why it doesnt sound like the older w12 a8

Some say they are available through special order. That's false, if true we would have seen a few for sale on the used car market and it's not the case. Really nice car, but especially the suspension is NO revolution, but available for 5 years. Wikipedia says: "In 2007, the Mercedes-Benz F700 concept introduced the PRE-SCAN suspension, an early prototype road scanning suspension, using lidar sensors, based on Active Body Control.
In 2013 the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222) introduced the series production version of PRE-SCAN, but with a stereo camera instead of laser projectors. The system dubbed Magic Body Control is fitted with a road-sensing system (Road Surface Scan) that pre-loads the shocks for the road surface detected. Using a stereo camera, the system scans the road surface up to 15 meters ahead of the vehicle at speeds up to 130 km/h (81 mph), and it adjusts the shock damping at each wheel to account for imperfections in the road. Ich finde es irgendwo verblüffend, dass man den W12 wirklich konsequent immer weiter beibehält wo das Downsizing der Motoren eigentlich immer brisanter wird. Trotzdem sicher ein Sahnestück und in der Fahrzeug-Klasse sicherlich für den Konzern auch ein Must-Have.
Naja, Mercedes hat 12 Zylinder, BMW hat 12 Zylinder, da braucht Audi eben auch 12 Zylinder. Aber irgendwie scheinen die sich dafür fast zu schämen, denn den V8 und den W12 gibt es nur auf Kundenwunsch und nur direkt beim Händler zu bestellen.

It does. Wikipedia states that in Europe the V8 and W12 can only be ordered through official Audi dealerships though. That's why the V8 and W12 engines aren't listed in the online configurator.

Fuatdino Francesc Well, they use exhaust holes without pipes in lower models, but you have the possibility to take real exhausts in the higher lines (e.g. AMG-Line) . Audi and other VAG brands don't give you the possibility of real exhausts.
