Filipinas won the major awards that embodies Ms. Universe. Gold winner of the Voice for Change competition (STRONG ADVOCACY), Took home the Spirit of Carnival Award (GOOD FOR INCLUSIVENESS/ FRIENDLY) and lastly WON THE FAN VOTE (BEST FOR BUSINESS). Thats why we are proud of her even if she didnt win ☺
The issue is the fan vote is never truly fair. There is no way curaçao or a small nation can ever win simply because their populations are so small compared to other nations. Props to Michelle for the other awards because it means she earned it because that means she walks and talks the talk. The only thing a fan vote does is make extra money for muo.

i’m probably gonna get so much hate for this, but i’m just gonna start off and say that i absolutely LOVE MMD and was also really disappointed when she was not called into the final 5, but there are some things that people need to realize. one, when they are selecting people during the final night to move on to the next round, they are not just looking at the final swim, evening gown performance ect. they are also looking back at their prelim performance (if they over did it in evening gown or if they were lacking) and their interviews, how they answered the questions. another thing to take into count is that michelle was the fan vote, she was not one of the original 19 selected by the judges, had she not been the highest scoring fan vote or if there was no fan vote at all, then we could’ve possibly went another year without philippines. i’m grateful that she even made it to the top 10 because fanvotes usually don’t go pass the first round (since they weren’t a favorite from the judges to begin with) again absolutely no hate, some people just need to look into that their favorite isn’t always going to be in the top and we shouldn’t disregard the other women who made it
because majority of the judges are latinas. Her performance are really good even before preliminary thats why she was chosen as a gold winner for voice for change (strong advocacy) and Spirit of Carnival .

I agree with you.. As a Pageant Fan, and as a Filipino-American, I would normally root for Philippines & USA. But at the back of my mind, I just knew both of them won’t go far this year.. Talking about MMD’s performance in the Evening Gown, personally her Prelims gown was better, even though I’m also not a fan of that green gown. This black gown was a hit or miss. It’s very polarizing. Either you love it or Hate it. But I noticed MMD was very stiff in her performance, and you can see from her face that she’s very nervous. I think the finals night brought out the nerves in her & she started feeling the pressure.. She was so tensed!
Michelle Dee's performance was great actually, I have been a fan of pageantry since the time of Charlene Gonzales and learned to observe a potential candidate of the country with so much factors to win a crown, definitely Michelle was crown-worthy candidate of the Philippines. After Catriona won, I haven't seen any candidate from the Philippines as strong as Gray but when Michelle represented the country in this edition, I saw something positive about her, she has turned all her bashers to be awestruck of her performance, she did her assignment by making her wardrobe a great representation of the country, even her pasarela improved, her intelligence is unquestionable, and her final gown exuded so much pride as it tackled a story, something a representative should do in international scene. And time flew by, her immense contribution to pageantry is still visible. She made a huge impact to other aspiring candidates all over the world, her style, advocacy, confidence, and even her iconic black gown are copied in every corner of the planet, form Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, USA, countries in Europe and in Africa. That means a lot, people silently rooted for her to win and even emulated things about her. Filipinos can accept defeat and easily accept fall shorts result of other candidates but we can also sense if someone is really deserving at all. And Michelle Dee's top 10 finish is still a questionable result. Michelle Dee's influence to other aspiring candidates today is more visible and felt than the influence of the top 5 candidates combined😂. And that's the real queen. P.S. Being a top fan vote winner doesn't mean you are the least on the ranking, sometimes you are actually one of the best and pushed more by vote results. Even if Michelle wasn't the winner for voting, she will still manage to penetrate the first cut. It's just that the MUO gave her the fan vote winner since she has a landslide votes from fans all over the world. They just add one more candidate to fill the first cut.

I actually thought Philippines was one of the prettiest from her country and advanced not just because of her sash. Whilst her gown was unique with an interesting backstory, it wasn't a smart gown choice for finals. Just be happy and congratulatory that she got as far as she did, and quit shoving every Philippines delegate every year after year down our throats.

Again, PH fans in general doesnt have any ill feeling towards Nicaragua being the winner this year. But we just hope that the MUO just became fair in selecting their top 5. Putting the most deserving candidates who showed dedication and passion. Just an example is Thailand, without doing exemplary performances, got easily clinched into Top 5. Michelle got 3 awards while Antonnia? Got nothing and surprisingly she ended up being the first runner up

I didn't see much future in this competition for Australia's delegate, I didn't notice her simply. Even, at the evening gown round start, she almost tripped, but was able to handle good. 2nd runner up, very well earned!

I actually thought Philippines was one of the prettiest from her country and advanced not just because of her sash. Whilst her gown was unique with an interesting backstory, it wasn't a smart gown choice for finals. Just be happy and congratulatory that she got as far as she did, and quit shoving every Philippines delegate every year after year down our throats.

I have time today, why did she deserve to be in the top 5? Isn’t the swimsuit competition and evening gown competition essentially the preliminary to enter the top 5? Again, PH fans in general doesnt have any ill feeling towards Nicaragua being the winner this year. But we just hope that the MUO just became fair in selecting their top 5. Putting the most deserving candidates who showed dedication and passion. Just an example is Thailand, without doing exemplary performances, got easily clinched into Top 5. Michelle got 3 awards while Antonnia? Got nothing and surprisingly she ended up being the first runner up

And my opinion, this year’s top 5 is rigged, and I am not going to apologize for this, so that the best speaker of the top 10 was prevented from advancing so Antonia can win. Sadly she faltered and Nicaragua won. lol. In Miss U history. The best speakers always win. And don’t give excuses about Michelle’s performance. I HAVE NEVER BEEN WOWED by a gown in a Miss Universe stage. Do not tell me I am blind or an idiot. Coz I am not. It was rigged period. Miss U could have shown the results to pacify a nation that voted and spent money to root for MMD. For nothing. but it chose not to. Because if it did,
even anonymously, the judges whose votes may been tampered will have to step into the light to clarify their votes. Or something to this effect.
In Miss U 2022, the org released the interviews to pacify angry fans who accepted the results right away. Not this year.

I didn't see much future in this competition for Australia's delegate, I didn't notice her simply. Even, at the evening gown round start, she almost tripped, but was able to handle good. 2nd runner up, very well earned!
