  • In this video of my 00 gauge model railway of Exeter st David's I build up the scenery around Exeter west.
    This episode features fully detailed and descripted tutorials on how to build a sleeper barrow crossing, full scratch built brick building and a open canopy tree.
    Covered in brief we watch the whole scene develop with many quick features like track laying, ballasting, weathering and greenery being added as featured in previous detailed videos.
    On that note I would like to thank everyone whos followed my progress and found my work inspiring. That's what makes doing this worthwhile.
    I will be back with regular layout progress with a slightly different format in the new year.

    Love the scratch build, it looks a simple build to follow too.
    Excellent weathering on the barrow crossing, It shows how getting it wrong can work in your favour.

    Thanks Tim, great video. The scratch build looks fab and uses techniques that anyone can follow to get a good result. Love the tree tutorial only thing is if lockdown carries on to long there won't be any hedges to cut in the summer lol. Have a great Christmas and catch you in the new year, regards Bobby 'T'.

    I'm starting my project so it's great to see your methods and the great results you're getting! Similar to yours, I'm modelling a prototypical location in the 80s and mixing bullhead and flat bottom rail as was common then. Can I ask what fish plates do you use to the join the 2 different types - as I can't see that Peco make a 'translator' one? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    • @thescrapline4905
      @thescrapline4905  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the code 75 standard rail joiners. The plastic ones don't really stay put on bullhead rail so the switch between flat bottom and bullhead is left fishplate free if there's a need of an insulting joiner.
