@@ww2wendal34 I've only been watching channel last 2 weeks and really enjoyed the content. It's not all the same stuff which I like .most channels just do the same stuff and gets boring it's good to find something that sparks the interests again in TH-cam
I was born in Queniborough and as a child in the 60's we used to play on the site which is now East Goscote and you could walk into those bunkers, I now wish we'd explored further
Loving all the different videos😍 especially learning the history about where you go, another great video guys👍👍👍 I'm tuning in on Friday as always, by the way funny view with you having your bum in air James 🤣🤣🤣 things you guys get upto
I'm liking the variety of content on here lately, that brick arch looks very old, should have had a camera & light you could have lowered into the tunnel. The first one ( the drainage pipe with the hinged flap) looked fairly modern, maybe 70's or 80's era.
It may be worth your while asking your local council or archive centre for access to building control plans of this area. Either those or plans of drains will help. Another great video lads!
Having lived here all my life (29 years) and growing up on the village, there was always talk of the tunnels. I was told that a house close to the park actually have an entrance in their garden, and in the house deeds it says not to attempt to open the man hole due it being owned by the military.
Well done. I have been researching the East Goscote Ordnance Survey rumours for a few years but other than a few old photos when Jelsons I think built the estate there is not much to go on other than the two great bunkers that were left from the RO factory.
Newport on the Isle of Wight is said to have a network of tunnels, Freshwater Bay has remanence of tunnels in the chalk cliff under Fort Redoubt where my great grandparents lived, it is a private home now, but the beach is public and so is the cliff, maybe you should have a working holiday there, it’s a beautiful place with loads of history 😉
Nice video again lads👍 I grew up in East Goscote many years ago, there used to be 2 old railway wagons on that piece of concrete next to the pavilion. Where the new factory units are, used to be known as The Track, lots of adventures we had there. That brought you up to the buffer, which in my childhood days, the original rail was cut to about 30cm. I know you visited it in your last video. I was told there was an entrance in the centre of the village, and also one on the perimeter,
Cheers Lee, we've spoken to loads of people, including a surveyor who worked for Jelsons on the village when it was built. He says the only buildings left after the bulldozers cleared the base were the huge bunkers and a smaller bunker next to the site of the school.
Good vid, I enjoyed the adventure of that. Channels like IKS Exploration is ok but it can get boring when you've seen one dark tunnel after another. Reminded me of the postcards from Leicestershire series, cheers lads 👍
The old sewage works is where the factories are. You may have stumbled on the old sewage workings where the manhole was. I believe there is an entrance in the area of scientific interest in Beadles golf course grounds
I remember going into one of the bunkers when they were building Goscote. it was big enough to get trucks inside with a loading bay and internal rooms, iirc there were many bats in there too. - nowadays the bat brigade wouldnt have allowed it to be sealed. Hopefully in the distant future they will be legally broken into and reveal more details.
@@ww2wendal34 Only just come across your channel. Have you tried to explore Asfordby Hill, not far from East Goscote. It's an old war time ordnance firing range. They used to fire warship guns into the hillside. Not sure if it's not private property though. th-cam.com/video/n4phkSqkm_c/w-d-xo.html
That is the funniest video you've done so far, I can't believe you stuck your down in there......wow....! Yep, you need to find the blue prints to that place and go back, with more shovels and more buckets. Also when your worrying about moving that brick and falling 20 ft. down. "Uncle" Ian saying it's okay, he'll get it on camera. Great....just great, you collapse down into a bottomless abyss to a horrific, painful death, but it's okay, because "Uncle' Ian, got it on camera....just too funny...!
I have an aerial map of the site during the war which I have over laid onto google earth, mind blowing really. I would be very interested in going down and having a look if someone knows how to access.
My dad's work mate has one entrance in his back garden the mod back filled all the tunnels with rubble though on a similar note Leicester market has tunnels stretching out under the city
Cheers Mike. Back in the day they used to try to avoid building on dump sites. This meant parks and allotments were given the land. Now they just build on it.

Thanks William another one on Friday.
Great find and Well done...
Thanks for another interesting video
Cheers Blockhead another video coming on Friday.
Went into one of the larger concrete bunkers in the mid 70's as it was open for access. Very substantial structure.
Are the rumours true that there is an old jeep dumped in there?
New content coming tonight, cheers Reed.

There are no plans of the wartime base only a grainy aerial wartime photograph.

Urban myth. Back this Friday 7pm UK time.
Well done. I have been researching the East Goscote Ordnance Survey rumours for a few years but other than a few old photos when Jelsons I think built the estate there is not much to go on other than the two great bunkers that were left from the RO factory.
We managed to find a chap who worked on the original Jelsons build and he proved to be a wealth of knowledge.
Awesome video lads I was so hoping it was a tunnel.
Never mind keep up the great work guys
Cheers Aj it would have been nice.
I have missed you are you making more video as love to hear all the history
Thanks Elaine an update coming soon.

Cracking video again boys. Wat was the picture like that james took.

That small bunker next to Broomfield school was knocked down and levelled while I was at the school.
The village library is on the site now.
There's supposedly an entrance under the pub too
Find those plans and find a way in! So cool!
We're very sceptical there is anything other than the two huge bunkers and a smaller pair near to the village school.
When you realise you need a powerful torch manufacturer as your sponsor...
We were contacted this week by a torch company. So watch this space.

As a child we would go through the drain tunnels in Houston. It was fun but we did not know of the dangers.
Yep we would never advise anybody going into unknown tunnels.
great video!
Cheers Neons. Another one coming on Friday.
No Callums comments. I'm sad now :(

Blame Callum twice we tried filming it and he came up with nothing.
